At University Hospital on Wednesday, December 14th, 2011, Mrs. Mary (Meyer) Cashen of London in her 69th year. Beloved wife of Bob. Loving mother of Steve (Monica) of London, Donna (Graham Allen) of Winnipeg, M.B., and Debbie Walsh of Bradford. Dear sister of Carolyn (Dallas Elliott) of Penticton, B.C., Paul Meyer (Kathy) of London, Jim Meyer (Lorrie) also of Penticton, and Anne (Paul Medema) of Ottawa. Cherished grandma of Christine, Michael, Theresa, Douglas, Brian, David, Katherine, Matthew, Megan and Michael. Mary was a devoted registered nurse for 36 years and was loved and respected by both patients and co-workers. Visitation will be held at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Sunday from 2:00-5:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. with prayers at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. George Parish, 1164 Commissioners Road West, London, on Monday, December 19th, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Interment, St. Peter’s Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Mary are asked to consider Parkinson Society Canada.

I have fond memories of working with Mary at Comcare. In later years I would see her at Mt Hope when she was visiting her mother. She was a warm caring person both as a nurse and as a friend. Thinking of the Cashen family at this difficult time.
