Marjorie Violet Martin

1920 – 2016

Went home peacefully to the house of the Lord surrounded by her family on Friday, September 9^th, 2016, at the age of 96. Beloved mother to Paul (Lois) Martin and Nancy (Jim) Voros. Wife of William Leslie Martin (who predeceased her in August 1998) for 56 years. Dearly loved by 4 grandchildren:  Paul and Christopher Martin; Jeff (Dawn) Howe; and Julie (Ryan) Hurley; and by 6 great grandchildren:  Clay, Kali and Kennidi Howe, and Owen, Miah and Alexa Hurley. Marjorie was the last surviving member of William and Blanche Paton’s family, of Leury, as well as the last spouse of her late husband’s family. Predeceased by Harold, Gwendowlyn, Emmerson, Aileen, Evelyn, Elmer, Willis and Reta. Special aunt to Ray and Pauline Morrison and sons, of St. Marys, and Judi and John Oliver, of Dutton. Marjorie will be fondly remembered by her extended Paton, Martin and Voros families. As requested, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at GLENCOE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 177 Main Street, Glencoe, on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. Private family burial at St. James Cemetery, Clandeboye, will be held at a later date.
