Marjorie ‘Marj’ Hudson (née Taylor)
January 18, 1946 - July 21, 2023
It is with heavy hearts that we share with you, the passing of our beloved wife, mother, and nannia. Marj was born in Sale, Manchester England, where she resided until immigrating to Canada in 1976. Always full of life and adventure, she never let herself be defined by what life threw her way. She loved to travel and especially enjoyed her two-year stint in New Zealand. In addition, Marj loved to socialize with her dear and special friends, but above all, she loved time spent with her family. She leaves a hole in the lives of her husband (Mike), daughter (Shelley), son-in-law (Glen) and grandchildren (Christopher, Matthew, and Meg). We know she will also be sorely missed by her cherished family and friends in England. Marj was predeceased in death by her parents, Charles and Olive Taylor, as well as her special furry friends, Maxi and Cody. She worked at a chartered accountant firm as an office manager, and later, as a real estate agent – both of which she enjoyed immensely. Marj was also deeply committed to her volunteer work. Specifically, she co-facilitated a group designed to help and support individuals diagnosed with RA, a condition she herself was afflicted with. She also helped support and empower recently separated/divorced women looking to redefine their new roles and lastly, she gave countless hours working at the Ian Anderson House (first hospice in Ontario). The opportunity to volunteer gave Marj great joy and fulfillment and exemplified her care and concern for others. She was strong and courageous, but also kind, gentle and funny. The family wishes to extend their gratitude and immense regard for the exceptional quality of care provided by Dr. Phua and the nurses at the cancer clinic in Victoria Hospital. Cremation has taken place and as per her wishes, an intimate family service will be held at Westview Funeral Chapel on July 28, 2023. In memory of Marj and in lieu of flowers, donations to the LHSF – Cancer Program or the Humane Society London & Middlesex would be welcomed and greatly appreciated.
