Maria was a dear friend of mine and I am deeply saddened by the loss of such a beautiful smile. Maria never missed a beat and made sure that everyone around her was ok, often lending a listening ear or a hug. Her laugh and sparkling eyes will surely be missed and her life lessons I will never forget. If Maria taught me one thing it was to be proud of the impact we have on the residents and to take the time to listen intently. Maria, I will miss you xo
