I was saddened to learn that Margaret has left our world - but heartened that she did so in a happy moment with her friends on the golf course. Margaret was a very special lady - a bright light wherever she went. I am so grateful to have known her - even if for a short time - and I will miss my better ball buddy so much. To Margaret's family - you have my deepest sympathy. May you gain strength in the knowing of how much we loved our Margaret.

Margaret and I shared having London in common. She was friendly gracious and easy to get to know. As a sister in law to Meg and Jim and one who just celebrated Easter with Margaret, I was shocked at her sudden passing. She was always very interested in my 3 daughters and especially the weddings. She was a lovely woman and I shall miss seeing her at Jim and Meg's. My sincerest sympathy to you and all the family. Kate Young

It's hard to believe that such a vivacious woman who loved life and lived it to the max is gone so suddenly. The way Marg lived her life and loved her family with her whole being, is an inspiration to us. Marg had a big heart , a great sense of humour and was always so genuinely interested in how everyone was, how our kids were doing... To Joanne, Sally, Glen and Vicki, there is no doubt that you will miss your Mom terribly but that is because you all had such a loving relationship. You have a lifetime of good memories and lots of laughs to remember xo

Our sincere condolences to her family. Doris, Philip Haggett. We are sorry to hear about the passing of Margaret also. I always remember her warm and smiling face as a young girl growing up as a friend of my parents, Doris & Fred Haggett. You will be missed, sincere condolences Russ & Lynne(Haggett) Chadwick

As if this list of friends expressing condolences isn't long enough we wish to add our sense of loss . We only occasionally met but always enjoyed our chats with Marg whose cheerfulness knew no bounds . Her visits to Kay Hogarth were almost neighbourhood affairs as she quickly made friends with everyone . Our mutual love of golf was often the source of great stories. She left us as she lived her life . We know her memory will be a great source of comfort to you all .

It was a week ago on Easter Sunday that Margaret along with Travis sat with us to share Easter dinner. The calla lily that Margaret brought still sits on the table in our living room. She was an inspiration -- travelling, hiking, playing horse shoes, enjoying activities with all of her grandchildren. We have lost a dear friend. Our thoughts are with the Lowery family during this hard time.

I am so sad to hear of the passing of my friend Marg Lowery. She was like my own mom, we would talk about anything and everything and at the end of our 4 hour conversations, she always made me feel like a million bucks. She inspired me to enjoy life and not to worry about the little things. To do the things you love and hold no regrets. To be happy with what life has given you and always to lend a helping hand to those in need. I looked up to Marg for advice and will miss her every passing day. She was one of my true friends that I was so fortunate to have been brought into my life. She has made me appreciate life and all the great things it brings, and it doesn't surprise me that she was playing golf when she passed, golf was one of her greatest loves. But the love she had for her children and grand kids was number one with her. I will miss Marg, but I will never forget her. Knowing Marg, she already has a tee-off time in heaven. Your friend always, love Jeff

~ Jeff Cwik

This is a sad shock. Kate & I had dinner with Margaret and Travis at Jim & Meg's house in Dundas, on Easter. It was easy to admire the close relationship between grandmother and grandson.

Margaret was a true pilgrim -- open to new experiences, joyous when they arrived, compassionate and eager to help. Just two weeks ago, as many times before, she was fully engaged in the hospitality meal at St John the Evangelist, helping as she had been helped. We will miss her.

~ Ana and John Thompson

Melinda and I were shocked and deeply saddened to learn of Marg's passing on Sunday. Marg was the mother of Vikki, our second daughter's best friend and her home was always 'open' to Debbie and many others. I had the privilege of providing dental care to Marg over the years and always enjoyed her visits. She was a gracious and most interesting lady as well as a dedicated mom and grandma. She will be sorely missed by her family and all who knew her. Chuck Ruttan DDS .

~ Chuck and Melinda Ruttan

She was a warm and loving person, always great fun to be with. Our condolences to all her close friends and family.

~ Rita and Roy Inglis

Margaret was a one of a kind. She was loved by many and she loved everyone back. She travelled the world and was rich with friends. She had a smile, a joke an encouraging word for everyone. She loved to tease people and she loved to be teased right back. A round of golf with Margaret was always a great time, I loved being in a foursome with her. I'll miss her a great deal and I extend my sympathies to all of her family.

~ Janine Easton

I am a better person for having known Marg. I can't ever remember her in a bad mood or without something humorous and uplifting to say. Such a spirit is rare and rubbed off on those of us fortunate enough to share her company. Her joyfulness was contagious and I will miss her dearly. My heartfelt condolences to her family.

~ Michelle Hall

Indeed, we have lost an incredible woman. Marg had a great sense of humour, was a joy to be around and a constant reminder of what living life to the fullest, looks like. I enjoyed getting to know Marg through her daughter Joanne and family in Calgary and had the pleasure of travelling with her many years ago to Bali. She certainly provided Joanne and I with many laughs during our time there. She will be missed by many, especially her children and grandchildren whom she adored. RIP Marg. Heaven has another angel for sure.

~ Cathy and Richard Gotfried

I am just in shock that we have lost Margaret. There is some peace in knowing she was on the golf course. We had so many laughs during our trip to India and she certainly was a great travel companion. I'll miss her visits to Calgary. She was a beacon of light and will be sorely missed.

~ Audrey McArthur
