Margaret Gardiner
September 5, 1934 - January 12, 2025
Peacefully in her sleep on January 12, 2025 at University Hospital, London in her 91st year.
Beloved wife of the late George Gardiner (2004). Dear mother of John Saxton and step-mother of Greg Gardiner and Gwen Corbin. Cherished grandmother of 4 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews and extended family. Marg was born and raised in Montreal, where she worked in two languages. She moved to London, with her husband George and her sister Joan and her family.
She was a dedicated Club Leader and Church volunteer. She organized many Robbie Burns dinners in her day, and was involved in the Canadian Legion, and served as Secretary of the Prisoners of War Organization.
A celebration of life will take place at Oakridge Presbyterian Church, 970 Oxford Street W., London, on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at 1:00 pm. Interment to follow Mount Pleasant Cemetery, London. Those wishing to make a memorial donation in Margaret’s memory are asked to consider Oakridge Presbyterian Church.
