Margaret C. Middaugh
October 19, 2019
Margaret passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 19th, 2019, surrounded by her family and loved ones. She was predeceased by her cherished husband Wilfred Middaugh (1989), by her parents William and Mary Somerville and by her sisters Elizabeth Shoff and Mae Walper. Also predeceased by her sister-in-law Stella Smith and her brothers-in-law James Lewery, Gerry Walper and Harold Smith. Left to mourn are her beloved husband Robin J. Hood, her devoted daughters and sons-in-law, Leigh and Mike MacDonald and Lynne and Steve Irwin. Adored Nana to Kelsey MacDonald (Aryan Golshan) and Lexie and Meghan Irwin. Cherished sister of Helen Lewery and dear aunt to her many nieces and nephews. Dear stepmother of Steve and Renée Hood, Tim and Beth Hood, Wendy and Chuck Brimmer and Pat and Tricia Hood. Special Nana to 10 step-grandchildren. She was a second mother to her stylist extraordinaire Martha Zengari, who has been a devoted friend for 35 years. Marg came to Canada from Scotland, with her mother and sisters, just shy of her 16th birthday. She was hired by London Life where she worked for many years and made several lifelong friends. Mom was devoted to her family and this showed in everything that she did. She loved to sing, dance, cook, knit, sew and travel with her husband, until her illness prevented her from doing so. Mom would like to thank all her wonderful nursing care, especially Ruth Saunders and Debbie from the VON and Norma, Rosie and Kaylen from Physical Relief, plus her many caring volunteers. Family and friends will be received on Friday from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where the funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 10:00 a.m., Rev. Dr. Sheila Macgregor officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in London. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or the London Food Bank would be gratefully appreciated.

Our deepest sympathy Leigh, Lynne and Fanilys. We will keep you in our prayers at this difficult time GOD BLESS
Lynne, Leigh and families. It's difficult to find the right words. Please find strength in the cherished memories and reflect on the positive experiences. Our hearts are heavy but our buckets are constantly overflowing. Lots of love to you and yours during this difficult time. Rick & Kate.
Leigh and Lynn. I learned of your mother's passing through my brother Norm and would like to extend my sympathies to you and your families. I have many fond memories of your mother and dad going back to the days when the Middaugh clan would hold regular musical get-togethers, usually in Aunt Stella's basement. Your dad would play guitar, Uncle Merv would play fiddle and my dad, Hudson, would play the mouth organ. They were always wonderful, warm gatherings where everyone sang and danced, including the kids. I know you have your own precious memories of your devoted mom and dad and these will always be a blessing to you. With sympathy and warm wishes. Nancy
