Margaret Anne Hough

March 21, 2013

Surrounded by family and loved ones, passed away peacefully in her home at the age of 64.  Loving Mother to Jennifer (Wensley) Goulden and partner, Brian Henderson.  Adored Grandmother to Desiree Goulden, Callie Gibson, Liam Henderson and Keira Henderson.  Best friend and love to Ross Winter. Survived by step-children, grandchildren, cousins and many close friends, all of whom she cherished.  Margaret touched the hearts and lives of countless families during her 33 years of teaching grades K-12, including specializing in music and guidance.  Margaret’s life was filled with song, singing most recently in the Cantorion Choir and the Celebration Singers.  She loved her time spent directing school and church choirs.  Cooking, family trips to the cottage, years spent “RV’ing”, and travelling with friends were highlights in her life.  After retiring from teaching, Marg enjoyed working with her clients at TheWeddingRing.ca, many of whom became good friends.  Margaret was an inspiration to many for her unfailing courage through a long battle with cancer.  Special thanks to cousins Rindy and Joan for giving their help and support to Marg in her final weeks.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, where the funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, March 27th, 2013 at 1:00 p.m.  Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Marg are asked to consider the London Regional Cancer Program.

Jenn and family, our thoughts and condolences go out to you and your family in the passing of your Mother Marg. Although I did not know her well, I remember her as always bubbly and very friendly and outgoing. She will be missed.

Your mum's smiling face and lovely sense of humour will be missed by all her "girlfriends". No one can ever replace her in our hearts. Our sincerest condolences to you and the family at this time.

My thoughts and Prayers go to the family and friends of Mrs.Hough. She was my grade 6 teacher at Northdale P.S. And an inspiration to me ever since. Although it has been years since I have seen her, I've thought of her often. She brought out my voice and my fear of singing infront of crowds. She encouraged me and was far more then a teacher. I have never forgotten her in all of these years. By reading some of the condolences here it is clear that many love her and that she has touched countless lives. Thank-you Mrs. Hough, you will not be forgotten!
