Margaret Aileen Semchism

SEMCHISM, Margaret Aileen – Peacefully at home on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 in her 85th year.  Beloved wife of Peter (2010). Caring mother of Jim (Jo-Ann), Sheila & Bill Strybosch, Michael (Heather), Sharon & Stephen Molnar, Tom, and Peter (Joanne). She will be fondly missed by her thirteen grandchildren and caregivers (Gemma & Beth). She will be fondly remembered by her sisters Mary Belanger and Eileen Countryman and her brothers Gerald and Philip McDonnell.  Predeceased by her parents, Jim and Barbara, her brothers Dan and Tom McDonnell and sister Irene Tunstall.  She was born in Glencoe and raised on the family farm in Kent County.  Margaret was an elementary school teacher prior to raising her family.  Her children will miss her spiritual leadership and guidance.  Visitation will be held at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North on Friday, November 1st from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with prayers at 8 p.m.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St George’s Catholic Church,  1164 Commissioners Road West, on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 10 a.m.  Burial at St. Peter’s Cemetery.  Donations in Margaret’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Though I did not know Marg well, the Marg that I did know was a friendly, polite, attractive, always smiling and seemed like a nurturing and devoted mother to all of you.
