BOYD, Manford (Bud) William – Passed away peacefully on June 30, 2011 at the age of 84 with his family by his side at University Hospital. Beloved husband and best friend of Carol (Heaman/Youse) and predeceased by his first wife Janice (1991) and younger brother Edwin (Ed). A loving father to Michael (Shelagh), Steven (Maureen) and David (Debbie) and dear step father to Patti Bell (Doug), Leigh McCann (Roger Quinn) and Tim Youse (Karyn). Papa Bud will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Conan, Amanda (Chris), Jason, Justin, Matt, Andy, Greg, Kathleen, Meghan, Hannah, Alanna and Stephen, by his step grandchildren Helen, Heather, Johnathan, Olivia and by his great grandchildren Emma, Liam and Sadie. Bud is survived by his younger brother Jim (Mary) and sister Inez (Dennis). Born in South River, Ontario on January 14, 1927 Bud was a quiet family man who enjoyed gardening, was an avid orchid grower and a superb athlete who played Junior B hockey, golf (with three holes in one to his credit) and in his retirement years curling at the London Curling Club. Visitation will be held on Monday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL 709 Wonderland Road North, London, Ontario (519 641-1793) where the funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at 11 a.m., with Rev. Victor Brown officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, London. If desired, donations in Bud’s name may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
