Louanne Marie McIntosh (née Maurice)

November 3, 2024

Passed away peacefully and surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at the age of 63. Louanne was born in Windsor and was the beloved wife of Ken McIntosh for over 43 years. Devoted mother to her daughters Tanya (Mike Arnett) and Heather (Brenden Symon), and a cherished Meme to her grandchildren: Mason, Jackson, Evelyn, and Brooklyn. Dearly missed by her siblings: Debbie (Carlo Baldi), Corinne (Jim Davis), Ed Maurice (Lou-Ann), David Maurice, Gary Maurice (Lisa), and Andrea (Joe Gabrieau); as well as by her sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and extended family. Predeceased by her brother, Matthew Maurice.

Louanne had a passion for travel and enjoyed exploring new destinations with her family. She also treasured the time spent with her grandchildren, creating lasting memories and sharing in their joy and laughter. Louanne fought a long, hard health battle through many years, which never dulled her kind heart, warm smile, and loving spirit. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories, as well as an unwavering determination to never give up, that will be forever treasured and a source of inspiration for those who were fortunate enough to have known her.

Special thanks to the staff at Victoria Hospital – Palliative Care Unit for the outstanding care and compassion.

A celebration of Louanne’s life will be held at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London on Saturday, November 9, 2024 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m., with words of remembrance at 2:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to give a donation in memory of Louanne are asked to consider the Ronald McDonald House Charities Southwestern Ontario or the Humane Society London & Middlesex. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

My deepest condolences going out to Ken and the family. I have wonderful memories of Louanne that I will always cherish. I know our fondest memory was after we graduated high school and our trip to Newfoundland , this was one we spoke of often. I know her love and devotion to family always came first.
