Peacefully at Victoria Hospital, on Tuesday, December 18, 2018, in his 97th year. Beloved husband of Evelyn for 76 years. Loving father of Jo Anne Lightbody (Stuart), Denise Nugent (Jim), and David Overholt (Helen). Cherished grandfather of Katherine Knight (Rob), Michael Lightbody, David Keene (Christina), Karra Overholt, Jason Pine (Melanie), and nine great-grandchildren. Lorne’s faith in Jesus Christ was the central theme of his life, which inspires his children and grandchildren. “Well done, good and faithful servant.” A funeral service will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Lorne are asked to consider the Church on the Rock – Building Fund (led by Rev. Dr. David Overholt) or SEND International of Canada.

We have many great memories of your Dad. His remarkable quiet spirit was always evident. His magic was a great contribution to the life of Wortley Baptist Church and the many other places where he ministered. A faithful servant and a life well lived. Love, Norm and Sharon Corrin
Lorne was a wonderful person, a real gentleman, exquisite manners, great sense of humour, always interested in people and was a good listener. He was a terrific role model and will be missed.
