Lois Audrey Wheeler

Lois passed peacefully on Sunday, September 1st, 2019, in her 99th year. She and her late husband, Glenn Wheeler, were married in 1944 and made their home in London. She is survived by her children, Ron (Annette), Jan Boniferro (David Talbot) and Rob (Shelly); her grandchildren: David Wheeler (Melissa), Jennifer Wheeler, Scott Boniferro, Neil Boniferro, Jeanne Talbot, John Talbot, Rachel Talbot (Mark), Georgina Talbot, Andrew Wheeler, Matt Wheeler, Chad Bentley (Amanda) and Kelsey Campanale (Mike), and her great-grandchildren. She will be missed by her nieces and nephews, the McKegney family and many lifelong friends. Lois was an active artist for many years and enjoyed the support, friendship and fellowship of the London art community. She explored a number of art forms from traditional painting, to printmaking, to digital media, and her works will be enjoyed for many years to come. Lois’ art was often inspired by her and Glenn’s travels. They enjoyed exploring the natural beauty of Canada and the United States in their camper van – making many friends along the way. The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at the McCormick Home for their considerable support and loving care during Lois’ time with them. Lois will be remembered at a quiet family dinner. Interment will follow at a later date. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Lois are asked to consider the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC).

Saddened by Lois's death. I visited he 2 weeks ago and we chatted and laughed about life, her art and her family and mine. I had no idea it would be our last visit. A delightful woman and an accomplished artist. My deepest sympathies to the family. David.
The Wheelers and McKegneys had so many happy times over so many many years. It was a privilege for us to be considered part of the family. Lois and Glenn stopped at our SK farm a few times in the camper- even trying to get stuck in our gumbo! I have so many happy memories of Aunt Lois. She will be missedâ¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸

Lois was a delightful woman. There are many at McCormick Home who will mourn her passing as she always carried a smile and encouraged others with her thoughtful words. . I will always remember Lois as a loving and caring lady who always had a smile to help brighten your day. She loved my Chaplain Cheer programs and participated in singing the Hymns.
For the family of Lois Wheeler: My heartfelt condolences. I have known Lois for many, many years, belonging to the same painting group. (The group of Ten). So many memories of meetings at each other's homes and get togethers at the Pinery, and luncheons at Amica.. These memories stay...... Puck.
I have been thinking a lot this week about all our families shared over the years. So much fun on our holidays together when we were kids, and how much a part of my life Lois has always been. Feisty, opinionated, passionate, funny - and always interested in what was happening with myself and my family. I'm pretty sure that every conversation included encouragement to make the most of life! So a toast to Lois, and love to Jan, David, Ron, Annette, Rob, Shelley, and all of the family and friends who will miss her very much.
I am sorry for the loss of your mother "Lois". We are connected in our family trees somehow, but there is no one left to ask. My Mom, Freda Galsworthy (Brent) died at age 90 back in 2007. I remember your parents stopping in to visit with Mom when they would be passing by the Strathroy area. Did they live in a condo in the Byron not far from Warbler Woods? Anyway, please accept our condolences.
I met your mother at McCormick Home and had the pleasure of having great conversations over supper while visiting my aunt, Jeannette. Your mother was a joy to spend time with, she spoke often and lovingly of her family and shared stories of her travels. My deepest condolences to the family.

Lois & Glen were like grandparents to us and I have so many fond memories of them being with the family (McKegney's) My love and sympathy are with Jan and the family. She lived an amazing life, and thankfully she was living in a happy place for the last while! We love you, Lois and are reminded of you and Glen everyday when looking at your painting or using the marble trivet that Glen made years ago, after grandpa Ernie passed 💕
