Linda Strong-Lottman

July 7, 2024

Our beloved sister, aunt, and friend, Linda Mary Strong-Lottman, passed away peacefully, on the morning of Sunday, July 7, 2024 following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s.

Linda will be lovingly remembered by her sisters, April and Laura; brother, Maxwell; nieces, Aleeshya, Dawn, and Deanne; nephews, Christopher, Bryan, Matthew, and Kevin; great-nephew, Louis (Yorkshire Terrier); sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Jeff; and stepchildren, Jordan and Michelle.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Terry, and parents, Maxwell and Mary.

Linda will be remembered for her love of family, fashion, crafting, gardening, travel, and a thermos always full of Tim Hortons coffee. She had a contagious smile and laugh, and always had stories to share with anyone who would listen. She was a woman known to do anything for, and give everything to those around her; family, friends, and strangers. Until her health condition made it impossible, Linda could often be found creating a new masterpiece from candles to soap to truffles to denim bags to costume jewelry.

Linda’s family will always remember her love of taking photographs, celebrating every holiday with kid-like joy, making hundreds of sticky-note reminders, and always staying up-to-date on the latest fashion trends and best buys from Walgreens. She will be deeply missed for her laughter, spontaneity, and constant readiness for any adventure.

Since his passing in 2017, Linda found hope in her eventual reunion with Terry. Her family finds solace in knowing she is happy, and back to living life with her love.

Linda’s family encourages the sharing of memories and thoughts of Linda.  They are requesting, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada in loving memory of Linda Strong.

An interment ceremony and private celebration of life will be hosted on July 28th in Cambridge, Ontario.

It was 1984 when I walked nervously into Penny Noble Model Management, a leading personal management agency for models and actors and to get in and be represented you needed to already be in a Canadian tv series…which I did not have but I met with this incredible, beautiful red hair, stunning woman who was the top booker for the men’s division…named Linda Strong. For the next 15 years Linda represented me and sent me around the world shooting print campaigns and strutting the runway for many designers, tv commercials, mini-series and movies. We became much more than booker and model…we were family. All of a sudden it’s 1999 and I’m now trying to fulfill my dream of becoming a fashion photographer. Linda made that dream come true. Instead of booking me for modelling jobs, she now believed in me and booked models for me to shoot. Together, Linda and I shot so many models that Linda would get contracts for to work in Japan, Germany, China, Australia….she continued on sending models around the world and I continued on my path. 40 years later, we remained the best of friends, had so many incredible adventures together, were there for each other in life’s very sad moments, laughed and cried together and celebrated life together. Linda’s smile, laughter and love be will greatly missed and will live in my heart forever, I will miss you my dear friend, I love you very much and I take comfort in knowing we both knew our love for each other. You’re now back with your true love. RDMH

I met Linda when we were 28 yrs old and have been friends ever since. For years, Linda and I went to all the Christmas shows, warehouse sales, One of a Kind Shows etc. for hours, shopping for gifts and for ourselves. Each year we went to the CNE and laughed. ate and shopped and then laughed, ate and shopped some more. We enjoyed our visits, dinners etc. I have many fond memories of our younger years. My heart breaks for you April and Aleechya, but keep in mind that she's with Terry again, her true love, and they will take care of each other. My love to you, Linda. Rest in peace my dear friend.
