Lance Stephen Todd
October 27, 1956 - December 12, 2024
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lance Todd. Born in Toronto on October 27th, 1956, Lance was the beloved son of Wilda Todd and the late Earl Todd. Lance brought light, joy and happiness into the lives of all who knew him.
A devoted father, Lance leaves behind six cherished children: Emily (Dylan), Megan (Lee), Austin (Hilary), Stephanie (Brendan), Kaitlyn, and Hudson. He was also the proud and doting grandfather of seven grandchildren: Sophie, Jordan, Finn, Shiloh, Isaiah, Zion and Eden. Lance will be deeply missed by his siblings: Lisa, Greg, and Trudy. His passing leaves a void in the hearts of his extended family and countless friends who loved him dearly.
Known for his larger-than-life personality, boundless energy, and unparalleled positivity, Lance lit up every room with his presence. His warmth, generosity, and charm made him a friend to everyone he met. Lance lived fully and authentically, with his whole heart. He found great joy in taking care of others, sharing whatever he had because it made him most happy.
Lance’s charisma served him well in business, and his passionate nature extended deep into his professional life, where he endeavoured to help, heal, and allow people to become the best versions of themselves. Driven to succeed and with a firm belief in our ability to work hard and make dreams a reality, he was an accomplished entrepreneur early in life. Business was a cornerstone of his identity, and he loved his work, helping people and working toward the next big deal.
Life was luxurious and he shared his success with everyone around him. Countless memories were made and lives touched while we were “living large with Lance.” Lance embodied perseverance, strength, and determination, and was a force in both life and business. Despite his keen entrepreneurial focus, nothing made Lance happier than his family, which he put above all else. Taking care of others and doing what he could to inspire and improve the lives of the people around him brought him purpose and the purest kind of happiness. He loved his children to the depths of his being and was their biggest advocate and ally. He relished the opportunity to improve our days, be it through a good meal, a hot coffee, or a motivational conversation. Generous to no end, he delighted in surprising those he loved with gifts, jumped at the opportunity to run a hot bubble bath, heat up a sauna, or share a meal with his family and friends.
Lance loved the outdoors and relished his time spent in nature, with the sun and wind on his face and music in his ears. He could often be found outside, boating, windsurfing, kayaking, skiing, cycling, sitting by a fire or walking in the woods with his beloved dogs.
An epicurean at his core, he was a connoisseur in the kitchen with a great love for good food and drink. Dining was a lavish and luxurious experience with Lance, and will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of sitting at his table. The passion and love he infused in his meals was almost tangible and eating well was synonymous with our time spent together.
He lived vivaciously, honestly, and unapologetically. With Lance by your side, there was seldom a dull minute. He didn’t stress the small things, broke all the rules and made more memories than most, along the way.
Lance passed away valiantly in Huntsville Ontario on December 12, 2024 at the young age of 68. Although Lance is no longer with us in person, countless wonderful memories and the love he shared will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
