Kenneth Alan Dimson
August 12, 2018
Of London, passed away on Sunday, August 12, at the age of 72. Ken valiantly fought multiple myeloma for five years. Dearly loved husband of Gail Dimson (nee Ansley), father of Alexis McKeown (Rob), Leila Dimson, and stepfather to Heather Stitt (Peter). Proud grandfather to Nathan and Julianne McKeown. Dear brother of Joan Tomkinson (Al), Norma Rodine (Bob) and Marian Dimson. Cherished uncle to Jeff Tomkinson, Michelle Rodine, James Tomkinson (Angela), Janette Fluke (Doug), Jim Glass, Rob Rodine (Christine), and John Glass. Lovingly remembered by his brothers-in-law Jim Ansley (Donna) and Ted Britton (Linda) and by his Uncle Gordon Dimson and Aunt Dorothy Dupont. Ken will be greatly missed by his friends at the Lambeth Horticultural Society where he was Treasurer. Predeceased by his parents George and Florence Dimson. Ken was born in Toronto where he met his wife Gail. They were married in 1996 in London and soon after started Cambrian Software Ltd. Ken was passionate about his work as a programmer, but equally passionate about music, listening to it, playing his guitar and singing. Everything that could be said, was a song. Ken will be remembered as a very positive and compassionate man. He left a wonderful example to everyone who came in to his life. A celebration of Life will be held at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Saturday, August 18, 2018 from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m., with words of remembrance at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to The Thames Talbot Land Trust >https://www.thamestalbotlandtrust.ca/ or The London Heath Sciences Foundation Multiple Myeloma cancer care >https://lhsf.ca.
