My deepest condolences to Kathy's family. I just heard this sad news today. I remember the first day Kathy came into the SEHC office. I firecracker from day one. An amazing nurse. Always ready to give her heart fully on behalf of her patients. I will miss the laughs and sharing stories with you as I've done often over the last 15 years or so. You will be dearly missed my friend...R.I.P.

~ Kim Nichols

Kathy, I cannot believe it!! You made me feel special from first day I met you, you were always there willing to help ANYONE any where you could. I remember the morning you came into the office early as usual to find me faxing off supply orders and we both startled each other we both laughed til we cried not know who was more scared. Every day you went out of your way to mentor , share memories and make every one of us in that office feel empowered. You did my so many favours and all it took was a little candy(which ever she requested) I consider my dear friend and will cherish every memory I have of you!! And to your family I had the privilege of meeting some of you and I can tell you she was so proud of all of you! Kathy I will miss you and you will always be in my heart, until we meet again my dear friend xoxo

To Karen, Brian and little giant Francisco - although I have not met you, I feel as if I have known you forever by the way your darling Mother/Grandmother spoke of you with a heart full of love and of pride. She was so happy when her daughter and Francisco moved in with her last summer. She was my nurse here at home last year for a few months and I will never forget how she gave me hope and empowered me to get better and live life to the fullest despite my inabilities. She always had joyful and funny stories and made me feel like I was the only person in the world . What a first class lady. I wish I could have gone to her funeral and maybe share some photos of her to remember her by. I pray that her Maker is right there to greet her.

On behalf of the CPS Team at the CCAC, we send our condolences to Kathy's family and co-workers at SEHC. Our paths crossed with Kathy's and she was always very generous with her appreciation and her positive outlook was contagious. She will obviously be missed, for many reasons, by many.

Kathy , my mentor, my Friend....."I miss you, I cried when you passed away. I still cry today. Although I loved you dearly, I couldn't make you stay. Kathy....I will miss coming into the office and seeing your smiling face coming down the hall. There was always a "HUG" and a funny story to tell, You were a great co worker and supervisor for me, I knew that whatever the problem I could count on you being able to talk to you, even after you weren't in the field. R.I.P dear friend, till we meet again. "Ruthie my love" Take care and God bless to Brian, Brenda, Francisco, and families.

Kathy will be missed greatly, a true friend, a great nurse, wonderful mother, loving grandmother, and a real motivator. She had unique and comical ways to look at everyday or unusual occurances and a wonderful knack to make you laugh- put you at ease- forgetting your troubles and woes. Girls weekend at Grand Bend wasn't the same when she couldn't be there - but there were" extra bacon and tomato samwiches"- I will hang on to the fond and funfilled memories Kathy- God Bless you all - Brian, Brenda and Francisco.

My Kathy.....I am still in shock that she is gone. I had the pleasure of working with her at St Elizabeth for two years when I was just starting my nursing career. She took me right under her wing and showed me the way, instilling a love of palliative care in me. After I moved on from the company, she and I kept in touch. I will never forget the messages that she left for me, which always started with "hello, my little love chicken". She always made my day and I know she did the same for all of her clients. Rest in peace, my dear friend. You will always be missed.

~ Jen Baker

Although I knew Kathy a mere 4 years, I felt as though I'd known her forever. We became fast friends. She was fun and amusing - the person you wanted to spend time with. It was an honour to be considered her friend. Kathy routinely set aside personal interests to present a brave face for clients. She was a humble lady - definitely no braggart. Nonetheless, there was no disguising the pride she felt whilst recounting stories involving Brian, Brenda or Francisco . I thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent together - I wish it could have been longer.

So sorry about the passing of your Mother. She was a great nurse and she was loved by many co workers. She touched many peoples lives in her years as a nurse. Kathy, I will miss you and your smiling face and all of your funny funny stories. You could make anyone laugh and you did bring joy to many people. I will miss you. God bless, Kerry

~ Kerry Scott

Kathy my darling sweetheart, my heart is full of wonderful memories of our times together, at work and at play, it is also crying and breaking into little pieces because I miss you so much. May God wrap his arms around you and keep you safe, I know you are with him and you are looking down on all of us saying a few jokes and laughing. It was an honor to be classed as one of your dearest friends, and I will always try to drive safe my lovey, you were one first class gal who touched the hearts of so many and gave so much without asking anything in return. So R.I.P. my darling, will think of you always.
