Karen Audrey MacLeod

Sometimes unexpected death reminds us of how precious and special some contacts in our life were. Karen was part of my friend circle at a time when having friends was so important. I see her picture and I see her when she was a pre teen/ teenager. We had many laughs. I don’t know why we lost touch, life I guess took us in different directions. I do know this, she cared deeply about her family and she was protective of her friends. Sympathy to her family. May everyone recall having that kind of friend in their childhood.

My sincere condolences to Karen's family. I was sad to hear the news of her passing. Karen and I grew up on Brixham Street and attended elementary and high school together. Many memories were created over those years. From time to time we would meet up for a dinner when I returned to London. Many laughs were had! I have fond memories of playing hide and seek, double dutch skipping, Honeymoon Suite trip to Toronto and roller skating. Her laugh was contagious. My deepest sympathies.

I’m so very sad to hear of Karen’s passing, she truly was one of a kind. She had this incredible ability to make even the most dull work days enjoyable and fun, especially with her witty sense of humour. I will always cherish our days together at Chelsey Park. Miss you K-Mac!

So shocked and very saddened to hear of Karen’s passing. An extraordinary person who brought laughter, mischief, and deep friendships into our lives. From the first day of grade one in 1976, our friendship grew stronger as we laughed and got into mischief together. Karen's laugh could light up a room, and she had an incredible sense of humour that was always laced with a hint of sarcasm and it always ALWAYS made me laugh. Her ability to make people smile was unmatched. But Karen's impact went beyond laughter. She stood firm in her beliefs and never backed down. She still brought up some of our disagreements from our public school days and we still laughed about it. My condolences to the entire MacLeod Family. R.I.P my friend…

My sincerest condolences to the family and all of Karen's many friends. There are no words for the sudden loss of such a force of nature. She was one of a kind and will be sorely missed. I've never laughed as hard with anyone as I did with Karen; that is how I will remember her in my heart, that smile and laugh of hers. Beautiful. Sail on Karen...
