Justin Gabriel Loreti

June 11, 2024

Peacefully at Parkwood Hospital, on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at the age of 36. Beloved high school sweetheart of Katie. Loving father of Valerie and fur-daddy to Freddie and Piper. Son of Gabriel and Marta Loreti. Brother of Jessica Loreti.

Justin was born in Mississauga, Ontario, where he grew up playing hockey, spending time with friends, and where he met his wife, Katie. After seizing his university degree from York University in 2007, he worked at Sick Kids Hospital in facilities before moving to London, Ontario in 2015, where he was employed by Canada Life in wealth management. He was married in 2016, purchased a home in 2017, and welcomed a child with his wife the following year. Justin was a hard worker who always devised a plan on how to advance his career and life goals. At the same time, he was the life of any party. We remember many stories of his high-spirited nature, humour, and devotion to friends and family.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Monday, June 17, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. Interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Donations in memory of Justin may be made to the Verspeeten Family Cancer Centre or St. Joseph’s Health Care London – Palliative Care Program. Special thanks to the staff at London Health Sciences Centre, Verspeeten Family Cancer Center, the Southwest Home and Community Care Support Services, and Parkwood Hospital for all of their care and expertise.

Dear Katie. I was so very sad to read this. I remember when we worked together at VON you always had great things to say about Justin and you had many plans for the future. Thinking of you and your daughter in such a difficult time. He was far to young.

~ Barb Hardy

My dearest Katie, my heart aches for you during this time. I am sending my love to you and sweet miss Valerie and all of Justin’s loved ones! He had such a vibrant and fun spirit that will be greatly missed by all. Much love to you all!

Dear Marta, Gabe, and Jessica, Many years have passed since we all gathered at Karl and Flavia's place for some joyous celebration. We always enjoyed seeing how all the kids were growing, from year to year. We were so very sad to hear that your Justin lost his courageous battle at such a young age. Hoping that close family and caring friends can help you through this very painful time. I chose to donate to St. Joseph palliative care in Justin's memory so that they may provide comfort to other families in need. Sharon and Rick Betts

Andrew and I were heartbroken to hear the news of Justin's passing. Justin was one of the original children in our Streetsville neighbourhood and we watched him grow from an infant to a father. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his lovely wife Katie and daughter Valerie. Justin was raised by loving parents Gabe and Marta and loved by his sister Jessica. He had a wonderful life until he was called by the lord. His presence will always be there as time goes on and he was blessed in his short life to have had such love from those around him. May he rest in peace.

We are truely heartbroken… Justin was always the sweetest, most polite and respectful little guy who always had that shining bright smile, he was such a great kid to have around.
