Passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones at LHSC – Victoria Hospital on Friday, August 16, 2024, at the age of 75. Judy was born in Durham, Ontario in 1948. Judy then resided most of her years in London, Ontario where she worked for the Thames Valley District School Board. Judy was an incredibly loving and caring individual that devoted her free time to creating great memories for her family, friends and animals. Judy was the type of person that would stop traffic just to pet a dog and to put a smile on someone’s face. Judy loved to make the best out of any and every situation. Her warm and loving energy will forever be missed by all her family and friends.
Beloved wife of the late Gordon Matthews. Loved daughter of Jean Mullan. Treasured mother of Gord Matthews (Anne) and D’arcy Matthews; grandmother of the late Steve Matthews (2021), Jesse Matthews (Carrie), Alexis Matthews; great-grandmother of Atheena, Adri, Kane, Jack; eldest sister of Jane Brereton (Mark), Janet Weber (Larry), Jim Mullan (Hayden), Jeff Mullan (Michelle); and missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Visitation will be held at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London on Thursday, August 22, 2024 from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m., with funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m.

Even though I only knew Judy for a short time she always made my day during our visits. Her stories about her husband, family and her pups always brought a joy to my face. No matter what she was going through she always did it with a smile on her face. She can now rest in peace. It was a honour to have met and cared for her
Judy was the best grandmother I ever had. She was filled with nothing but love and joy for anyone who met her and could change your day with a simple conversation. She will be missed by all and remains to be my true hero. Love you grando
On behalf of my late parents (Red and Ruth Langford) please accept my heartfelt condolences. I have very fond memories of Judy —my parents spoke highly of her . May she rest in peace .
If “success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which she has overcome” then Judy you are a giant.
Judy was a great lady always had a few good laughs when i visited, im sure where she is, she's at peace, will be missed.
