Joseph “Joe” Lancaster
November 27, 1939 - January 14, 2023
Joe left us peacefully, in his 84th year, after a brief illness at University Hospital, London, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Bernadette; his daughters Michelle (Ken Burns), Kimberley, Erin (Iain McFadden); and his cherished grandchildren Ceili (Matthew), Jack (Kisara), Sydney, Fiona, Braedan and Morgan, who lovingly called him “Pauzie”.
Originally from Carlisle, England, Joe immigrated with his family to Canada in 1954. He met Bernadette in Toronto, where they married and started their family. Joe’s long and successful career with Consumers Gas/Enbridge as a Land Man would have him relocate to London in 1989 to finish up to his retirement. Joe was the best family man, a lover of history, trivia whiz, scrabble maven, bargain hunter, Irish dance dad and great handyman. He will be sorely missed.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Divine, 390 Base Line Road West, London, on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Those unable to attend Mass in-person are invited to view a livestream of the service which may be found at www.springbankcatholic.ca.

So sorry for your loss. I’m sure this is a very difficult time for the family as he was very loved by each of you. Thinking of you all.
A donation has been made to JDRF. Message from the donator: Dear Grannie, Kim. Erin, Michelle, and families, I'm very sorry to hear of the passing of Joe. He was such.a sweet man. I'll always remember his smile, his quiet presence at all the Irish dance functions, and playing Scrabble online with him. I've donated to JDRF in his memory. Sending love to all of you. Nancy
I have so many memories of Joe helping out and watching at Irish Dance comps. He was always so friendly. He and my dad would assist in building stages for the London Feis. He was a great Pawzie and the children adored him. This is a sad loss, you will be greatly missed Joe.
We are so sorry to hear of the passing of Joe (Pauzie). We will all miss him dearly. Thoughts and prayers to all the Lancasters.
