Hendry, Joseph Anthony – With great sadness, Joseph Hendry passed away on Saturday, November 6th, 2010 in his 79th year, after a brave battle with cancer with his family at his side. Joe arrived in Canada from Scotland in 1966 with his wife Maureen and their 3 boys, Stephen & Jill Hendry (Sarah, Emma & Scott), Joseph & Noleen Hendry (McKinley & McKayla) and Ron Hendry & Freda Antone. Brother of Leonard & his wife Jean. Also missed by sisters-in-law Catherine and Beatrice as well as many family and friends in Canada, Scotland and U.S.A.  Predeceased by a brother John Hendry.  Cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation will be held at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Tuesday from 2:00 – 4:00 & 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. with prayers being held at 7:00 pm.  The Memorial Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Parish, 777 Valetta Street, London, on Wednesday, November 10th, 2010 at 1:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Joe are asked to consider the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart & Stroke Foundation or ALS. Steve, Jill and family. I was so sorry to hear your news and deeply saddened. I know from experience how tough the last while has been. Sorry to hear about Joe's passing, he was a true fighter and a good person. I recall one New Years Eve arriving at his home at about 2 o'clock in the morning and being welcomed to a fine New Years Eve party, it was the first time we met, I will always remember the kindness he showed and the laughs we had at the "beach".
