John Glen Pruss

Peacefully on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Parkwood Hospital in his 94^th year. Beloved husband of the late Margaret Pruss.  Loving father of Fran Buchinski and Betty Swann and father-in-law of Dave Buchinski and Robert (Star) Swann.  Cherished grandfather of Jami (Graeme) Leishman, Jodi Buchinski, Jon Buchinski, Jason (Sherry) Swann, Jon (Carrie) Swann and Angela (Mike) Swann/Doyon.  Dear great-grandfather of Sadie and Nora Leishman.  Son of the late Jean Patrick Chesney and Albert William Pruss.  Dear brother of Norah, David, June, and Keith.  Long time friend of Margaret Mckenzie.  John “Glen” Pruss was very proud to have been a part of the Royal Canadian Navy serving on the HMCS Assiniboine from 1939-1945. He also worked for Richard Wilcox for many years.  At Glen’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service.   A private family interment of cremated remains will be held at a later date in the Innerkip Cemetery, Innerkip, ON.  Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Glen are asked to consider the Palliative Care Unit at Parkwood Hospital or the Alzheimer Society of London and Middlesex.
