Peacefully in his 94th year in the presence of his loving wife and daughter on Sunday, January 14th, 2018 at University Hospital. Devoted husband of Marion. Son of Ernest and Mildred. Brother of Samuel, Elwood (Jean), Della (David), Delmar (Almeda), Truman (Lois), Bert (Millie), and Alma (Shirley). Loving father of Sheran (Christopher) and grandfather of Aleksander (Anna), Jennifer (Nathan) and great-grandfather of Ezri, Moira, Nerys, Julian, and Lilah. Loyal trainman for the Canadian National Railroad for 42 years. Faithful member of the Windsor Congregation of the Community of Christ. Fred was known to those who loved him as a steady hand and gentle soul. He lived a quiet and fulfilling life of devotion to his faith, family, and community, ever grateful for its simple abundances. A memorial service in celebration of Fred’s life will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 2:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior at 1:00 p.m. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Fred are asked to consider the Windsor Congregation of the Community of Christ or the Canadian Cancer Society.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Fred. We got to know him through Anna (our daughter) and Aleksander. He was such a warmhearted, gentle and soft-spoken man. Our thoughts are with you.
