John will be fondly remembered for his sense of humour, good nature, love of his family, generous and strong spirit. He was born in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and spent his early years down east before the family moved to London Ontario. John cherished all of his family and in particular all of the times spent at Ipperwash Beach walking on the beach and playing cards.  Visitation will be held at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Sunday from 7:00-9:00 p.m.  The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Parish, 777 Valetta Street, London, on Monday, May 7th, 2012 at 10:00 a.m.  Private family interment will be held at St. Peter’s Cemetery.  If so desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

We will miss his smile, his laugh, his sense of humour, his strength, his wit,

and most of all his love. We will cherish our memories in our hearts.

Happily together with Mom forever.

Dear Susan, Carroll and family, Please accept our deepest condolences on the loss of your father. It is good that you got to spend an extended period of quality time together. I know this makes the biggest difference and while your hearts are still heavy, I think it does make it easier to let your Dad go to be with his predeceased loved ones, especially your mother, the love of his life.
