It has been a long time since I have seen or spoken to Joan but my memories of her and George are fond ones. I used to babysit her grandchildren [Jason and Gary] . She was the kind of Grandma that could take on all kids and treat them as though they were the most important. From baking cookies to lending a hand or maybe just listening; she never tired of helping her kids or grandkids. She was the kind of Grandma that all grandparents should aspire to be like. God Bless her as she travels the path to heaven to be reunited with so many loved ones.

George and Joan lived next door to us for about 30 years and we could not have had better neighbours. We both went through the building of our homes at the same time. Joan was a real inspiration with her cooking and canning and knitting. She taught me a few tricks there and I still have several of her recipes that she shared with me over the years. she will be remembered by my children as well. take care and God bless. We were sad to hear of Joan's passing away. She was a wonderful lady. We will always remember her laugh and smiling, kind face. You were very blessed to have her in your family. Joan taught our daughters Sarah and Martha how to knit and crotchet and I was always amazed at all the quilts she made. She was a light in this dark world. We loved her. We wish her Godspeed on her journey to heaven to be with her loved ones. Till we meet on that beautiful shore - take care. God Bless.

So sad to hear of Joan's passing. She was a very good friend while we were living in Lucan over 35 years ago. Although we moved away and did not keep in touch, we have such wonderful memories of both Joan and George. They were fine neighbours and I remember spending many happy hours gardening and visiting with Joan. She was an amazing lady! Very kind and caring! She will be missed.
