Paula, It was an honor to provide care to Jeff. He was a superstar patient . He handled his diagnosis and surgery with courage and dignity. My son is a current Lucas football player- senior team. I was touched to learn of Jeff's rich history. Please know he touched so many here at LHSC. I am so sorry for your family's loss.

Got to know Jeff in high school as we shared a mutual love for live music. As each of us joined bands and started playing around clubs locally, he was always interested in how things were going, where we were playing, etc. Always supportive, sharing contacts and experiences. Beers and hackey sack at Call the Office, and watching him beat the crap out of him drums are fond memories. Great guy, gone too soon. Condolences to Jeff's family; know that Jeff was loved and respected. RIP buddy.

~ Steve King

My condolences to all that were close to Jeff. He was one of the senior drummers that went to Lucas high school years ago that I admired and looked up to. He was always friendly to me despite the fact that I was younger, and not nearly as talented or as cool as he was! ...I hope you are in a better place jamming with the greats Jeff!

~ Ben Fenlon

My condolences. I went to Lucas with Jeff and for a time we were the rhythm section in the high school jazz band. Jeff was a great drummer - I remember when he won the battle of the bands with Shattered Image. He enjoyed doing what he loved with many prominent bands which speaks volumes to his dedication to rock and roll, and to London. Whenever I came back for a visit and had the good fortune to run into him he was always the same friendly man I remembered. Gone but not forgotten...RIP

this sad news floored me..jeff was taken from us far too early and the void we will all feel in his absence will pain us for many years to come.. and for many reasons..a friend to so many..a world class drummer.. a work ethic to be admired not only in his passion projects but also his ability to learn trades and succeed at almost everything he tried his hand at.. jeff approched life with a devil may care attitude that was wrapped in a big smile ..when johnny and paula declared thier love jeff was instanly johnnys brother ..without question..on this note i will share a conversation i had with jeff.. jeff had told me there was some family history of medical issues..he was 22 23?.when telling me this..he said then, that he felt the odds were against him and that life was too short not to just go for it..jeff wanted to make music in the most urgent and passionate way..his energy juiced us as musicians..and so many of us are on that list.. i am not trying to make light of this tragic event..but i am trying to say he had sense of himself and his place in this world..he was smart enough to pick up on the warning shots life can give and took his dreams and pursuits seriously ,passionatly.. ..to those closest to jeff my family extends the warmest condolences ..a wonderful man
