NOVEMBER 10, 2020 November 10th upon this day, Mom's baby sister passed away, The only one of the elders left, And I'm devastated by her death, My favourite aunt, one of whom I'm named, And life will never be the same. She died in hospital and not at home And because of Covid, she was all alone No one got to say good-bye, And the thought of that just makes me cry. At 3 pm God took her home. And now she'll never be alone. My aunt she meant so much to me, I was her flower girl, you see. I loved her just as much as Mom, She was such a very special one. Rest in Peace Aunt Jean With all the rest, You're with the family, You were the best. Hugs...Donna-Jean

I remember the stories she would tell me about her wedding day and the fondest memories she had growing up. She was not only my Great Aunt she was also my godmother.
