Passed away peacefully on February 3, 2014 at the age of 96 years. She was predeceased by her husband Grant, a senior executive at Ontario Hydro, and by her son Stewart, a professor of Mathematics at University of Ottawa. Jean was born and grew up in Kingston. She and Grant traveled the world, and retired in London, Ontario. Jean spent her final years near family in Ottawa. She leaves her daughter-in-law Judy, her three grandsons, Geoffrey, Michael and John, five great-grandchildren, and many other loyal friends and family members. Cheerful to the last, with faith in God, Jean has gone to her final rest. The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday May 2, 2014 at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, followed immediately by a reception and interment at Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a donation to the charity of your choice would be much appreciated.

Dear Bainbridge Family; We just noticed Jean's obituary in the London Free Press and are saddened by her passing. Emma and I knew Jean and Grant through our association with Ontario Hydro. At the time Grant was regional Manager for London, I was the GM at London PUC. Besides having a very good business relationship, Emma and I attended many utility functions where they also were in attendance. Jean and Grant were two wonderful people.
