James Richard Cavanagh

August 19, 2010

CAVANAGH, James Richard – Suddenly, at London Health Sciences Centre, on August 19th, 2010,  James Richard Cavanagh of London in his 68th year,  Carol’s cherished husband, life partner and best friend.  Loving father to Kristen and her partner Rick (Brampton), Keri (London) and step-dad to Andrew Hallam (London).  Proud grandpa of Alex, Jake and Noah.  Dear brother of Michael and his wife Sandra (Ottawa).  Jim retired from London Life as Vice-President and then spent the last number of years consulting with Hall and Associates.  Jim was a gifted and creative marketer, with a passion for strategy.  He enjoyed entertaining friends, cooking, video gaming, debating politics, reading, movies, theatre, golfing, and target shooting.  He had a special place in his heart for motorcycles, vintage Mustangs, and a dry martini with a twist.  He and Carol loved to travel and enjoyed many sunrises on the beach at Port Stanley.  Visitation will be held at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, on Monday from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. as well as one hour prior to the memorial service being conducted in the chapel on Tuesday, August 24th, 2010 at 11:00 a.m.  Because Jim thought it important to give back, in lieu of flowers, the family asks you to make a donation to your favourite charity in his memory.
