Lois you have our thoughts and prayers. Your loss can never be overcome. Jim was a wonderful, interesting and accomplished man, and best of all a true friend. We thank him, and you, for the many great times we spent together and for the many lovely memories he has left us.

Jim was a great guy to play golf with and I and other fellow golfers at Thames Valley shall miss him. God Bless!

Dear Belle: I read about Jim in the LFP today - I remember well the Porche, his fine music, and the guppies. Please give Carolyn my condolences. You brought her to our farm once to play with our kids, and now she has two of her own. We have lost track of each other, but I have lots of good memories. Take care. (You may have my email address).

Lois and family: Albeit many years since Jim's graduation to a higher musical ensemble, I am compelled to send my thoughts and musings. I was a student of Jim's. I was the cook at the Plaza Dining Room Buffet back in the mid seventies. Jim was not just my teacher but a mentor of sorts and his memory is alive in my heart today and for tomorrow. Jim taught me how to become a better alto sax player. Took me flying. Even got me in to the bar, underage, in town to have a coke (yes it was) and experience an musician he knew (I want to say Denny but I am not sure) Encouraged me to no end but my wisdom could not compare with his and life takes us down other roads. My daughter plays tenor sax so Jim's gift continues in some way. My cousin Keith and Jim played in the Police Boys Band. Music is a huge part of my life as I took up the bagpipes in my mid-fourties. I have never forgot about Jim nor will I ever. My life has been a better one because Mr. Potts was part of it. Great time of my life at H.B. Beal SS. Thank you....
