On his 8th birthday, November 18, 2018, our beloved son, Jack Sumner went to be with Jesus. He is profoundly missed by his mommy and daddy, two sisters, grandparents, great-grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. His burial will take place at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 24, 2018, at Pond Mills Cemetery, Pond Mills Road, London, Ontario. All are welcome, but parking is limited within the cemetery and will be reserved for immediate family. An informal drop-in visitation will take place from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Trinity Place, 570 Gainsborough Road, London. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Jack, are asked to consider donating to Emily’s House children’s hospice, where Jack received such loving care for the last nine months.

I know that your heart is aching over the loss of your dear child. It must truly be an extremely difficult time for you all. There is little that I can say or do to ease your pain and suffering. However, may knowing that you are in the thoughts and prayers of many, bring a measure of comfort. Life is so short and those we love are gone from our lives too quickly. God's promise to empty the grave in the near future is found at Hosea 13:14. Also Acts 24:15 is reassuring stating, ... " there is going to be a resurrection..." May knowing this ease your pain and give you strength and comfort in the days, weeks, months and years ahead.

I have known jack and the family for so long and to be a part of his wonderful life is such a gift from god I know jack is in a better place and I hope his family and everyone around him also believes that. Over the years jack made me smile and was always a happy boy even after he god sick he was a great exaample of how I want to live my life and he's such a strong boy .
