Irene Anna Robertson
April 1, 1932 - July 22, 2022
Irene went home to the Lord, passing peacefully, on Friday, July 22, 2022, at Victoria Hospital in London, Ontario.
Irene was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on April 1, 1932, to her parents Charles and Nellie (Pascal) Hoffman. She began working as a Grade 8 schoolteacher in northern Manitoba to fund her education, and became a Registered Nurse at age 22. She later went on to work for Trans-Canada Air Lines (Air Canada) as a Stewardess.
In 1956, Irene met William “Bill” Robertson and they were married in 1957. In 1960, they welcomed their first son Bryan, followed by their second son Grant in 1962. At that time, she devoted herself to her family as a loving wife and mother. They were married for 57 years until Bill’s passing in 2014.
Irene was a devoted Christian, always unconditionally giving of herself and her time, touching many lives of family and friends in her service through Christ Jesus our Lord. In life we loved her dearly, in passing we love her still, and in our hearts she holds a place, no one else will ever fill.
She is survived by sons Bryan (Anne), Grant and loving grandchildren Amy and Megan. We are so thankful and blessed to have had such a wonderful Mother, Grandmother, and friend to so many. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Bill, and brother Charles “Chuck.”
A Celebration of Life will be planned for the near future with details to follow.

A donation has been made to Salvation Army. Message from the donator: We are so deeply saddened to have discovered the passing of my dear cousin Irene. She loved me, nurtured me, and provided a personal connection with my beloved father, Bill Pascal. Her mother Nellie was one of two women who provided me with unconditional love and was a role model for me. Irene’s faith knit us together as one in Christ and I will be forever grateful for her.
