Sincere Condolences to Janet, Mike and Family. Knew Mike from working at Parkwood Hospital, darts and same neighborhood. Always a gentleman.

~ Marilyn Adams

Heartfelt condolences to Janet, Mike Jr and the extended family. Its been many years since direct contact, and was saddened to hear of Mike's passing but also of his challenging "golden" years. Was uplifted by the many words spoken in memory and tribute during the service as they communicated the challenges of the past decade were more a struggle for those around him, than altering the nature of Mike himself. There should be comfort in knowing that you may have felt his apparent loss, but he was present in his way until the end. Over the years, at any mention of the great Bobby Orr, I have thought of Mike. First the greatness of Orr has never altered his humility, humanity or grace. And Mike's own picture on this page and displayed throughout the service reminded of those similar traits, I have always held of Mike. But Orr also connects us in my many memories of Mike. It was the Spring of '70, Mike was deployed - Cyprus the 1st time I believe, and my sister and I were writing notes to him to send to him and I drew a schematic of the infamous play, Orr-to-Sanderson-to-Orr and the puck getting behind Glen Hall as Orr is tripped into that iconic photo of the goal which gave Boston its first cup in 29 years. Without the benefit of cable television or computers back in the day, through that drawing by my nine year old self, Mike had a chance to "see" the goal. In that memory, I shall always see Mr Taylor. Rest well kind soul, you have earned the ease of your burden.
