Hilda Riddell

Hilda passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 9, 2014 in her 99^th year, after a short stay at Elmwood Place. She is predeceased by her loving husband, Murray Riddell (2002). Dearly missed by her two sons John and Paul. She will also be missed by her last living sister Alberta “Pody” Schneider, Pody’s children Lynn and Dan and their families. (Hilda had three sisters. All lived well into their 90s.) Fondly remembered by her lifelong friend Anne Temple and her family; Jean Wellwood, Ron Carrothers, Murray Abbey, David Young; and by her neighbours on Warren Road. Hilda was a dedicated wife and mother, straightforward and grounded in her ways. She never complained! She loved her family, relatives, and friends – with all her heart. The family would like to thank the staff at University Hospital and Elmwood Place for their dedication, care and concern for Hilda’s health and well-being. A graveside service will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, 303 Riverside Drive, London, on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at noon. Donations may be given to a charity of choice.
