Helen Le Tissier
April 9, 2024
Quietly on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at the Village of Glendale Crossing, Helen Le Tissier passed away in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Leonard Le Tissier. Dear mother of Chris Le Tissier (Yvonne) and Andrea Carnegie (Justin). Cherished Grandma of Sydney (Lucas), Sarah and Morgan Le Tissier, and Rieley, Taylor and Nicholas Carnegie. Survived by her sisters Evelyn (John) and Anne (late Jerry). Predeceased by her brothers Joe (Ruth) and Jerry (late Mary). Helen grew up in Minitonas, Manitoba. At 18, as a free spirit, she moved to Toronto where she met her husband, Len, and eventually settled down in London to start a family. Helen was a beloved member of the community and her church family. She worked for many years as the secretary at Glen Cairn Baptist Church. A shining light wherever she went, she spoke fondly of the friends that she made at the gym and in the neighborhood. She would greet every visitor with a hot cup of tea and a plate of cookies. Her family will fondly remember all of the stories and laughter shared. She had the biggest heart and if she had to be described in only one word, it would have to be “good”. Helen’s family wishes to extend many thanks to the wonderful staff of the Village of Glendale Crossing for their care and compassion over the years. Visitation will be held at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London on Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. A private family interment will be held at Pond Mills Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Helen may be made to Chalmers Presbyterian Church or a charity of one’s choice.
