Peacefully at Grand Wood Park Retirement Residence surrounded by family on Thursday, October 6th, 2011 in her 86th year. Predeceased by her beloved husband Wasilij “Bill” Benko. Loving mother of Walter and his wife Lyn of Burlington and Rita Moffatt and her husband Rick of London. Proud Bobby/grandma of Jennifer (Ian), Meggin and Spencer. Visitation will be held on Monday from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where the funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, October 11th, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. The family would like to express their gratitude to the wonderful staff at Grand Wood Park Retirement Residence.

So sorry to here of your Mom's/Grandma's passing. She was a great friend to my parents who always enjoyed vacations with her and Bill.

Walt, Rita and Families, Please accept my sincere sympathy for the loss of your Mom. I remember meeting her a few times, and being struck by what a lovely lady she was.
I was so sorry to hear about your Mom's passing. I remember visiting alot with my Grandma Neumann and my Mom, Louise. She was such an interesting, vivacious woman and an extremely talented seamstress. You are in my thoughts and prayers as you mourn this special person in your life.
Very sad to hear about Aunt Helen's passing, but we are convinced that she has gone to be with Uncle Bill. RIP Aunt Helen ! You were very much loved and will be greatly missed.

My heartfelt condolences to childhood friends, Walter and Rita, and to your families, on the passing of your mother, Helen. She and Wasilij were treasured friends of my parents. The annual August long-weekend get-together at the Usas cottage with your parents and with Stella and Richard Borowski created wonderful memories for many years.
