Hazel Virginia Hamilton (née Matthies)

Peacefully, at PeopleCare Oakcrossing, on Monday, October 15th, 2012, Hazel Virginia Hamilton, of London, in her 96th year.  Beloved wife of the late Robert M.C. Hamilton (2010).  Cherished mother of Debbie Hamilton (Ben Reed).  Dear sister-in-law of Ruth Matthies.  Loving aunt of Paul (Linda) Matthies and great aunt of Michael, Gillian, Andrew and Lara.  Predeceased by parents August and Louisa Matthies, brother Gordon and sister Lenora.  Hazel was a long-standing member of Trinity Lutheran Church and a 40 year member of the I.O.D.E.  A special thanks to the staff of Compassionate Care for their care and support over the past three years, and to PeopleCare – Juniper Staff for their kindness and excellence in caring for Mom.  The funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, October 18th, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, with visitation from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service.  Interment at New Hope Cemetery, Cambridge.  In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Hazel are asked to consider the charity of their choice.
