Greg Webb
October 19, 2011
Left this earth peacefully on Wednesday, October 19th, 2011 at Victoria Hospital surrounded by family. He would want all of you to know that while this is a sad event in the life of his family, it is not a tragedy. He has experienced his miracle of healing and we know that Greg is now enjoying the fullness of life that God created him to live. Greg also would never blame God for this accident. We are being comforted by the Holy Spirit in our sorrow and are receiving strength and peace that we can not understand but that is promised in God’s word. Cherished husband and best friend of Liz Pellmann Webb. Devoted father of Hannah and Sophia. Beloved son of the late Doreen (2007) and Lloyd Webb (2003) and son-in-law of Trudy McCrae. Loving brother of Val Clutton and her husband Doug of the Philippines, Heather Potts and her husband Steve of Huntsville, Stephen Webb and his wife Meredith of Toronto, and brother-in-law of Dieter, Carsten, Karen, Kirsten, Ingrid, Ruth and their spouses. Deeply missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. Visitation will be held at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Saturday from 1:00-3:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Westview Baptist Church, 1000 Wonderland Road South, London, on Sunday, October 23rd, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. Private interment will be held at Woodland Cemetery. Our prayers are with Liz and the girls during this time of trouble, but take peace in the fact that Jesus said that in this world there would be trouble, but he has conqured this world. Greg will be missed, but we all can take comfort in knowing he is with our Saviour right now.
Our children have long left Byron Northview, but they both fondly remember Mr. Webb. We always felt so lucky to have such a talented music teacher at a small public school. Mr. Webb worked tirelessly to prepare the students for Kiwanis performances and they were so proud to bring their awards back to the school. One of my son's favourite memories of Byron Northview is taking part in the jazz band in grade 7 and 8. We will remember Mr. Webb in our minds and hearts. B
I had the pleasure of having Mr. Webb as a teacher for grade 7 and 8, a few years ago now. I remember his enthusiasm for teaching music, and encouraging us to strive to be our best. My prayers are with you.
Fond memories of Greg at Westview Baptist Church. My prayers are with Liz and her family as they live with grief at Greg's passing and joy that he is with the Lord.
Mr. Webb shared his love of music with everyone who crossed his path and I had the pleasure of being his student for several years. I have many, many fond memories and I will miss him a lot.
We were very saddened to hear of Mr. Webb's passing. He was a wonderful teacher who cared deeply for his students. He will be missed greatly. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
Gladness in heaven, Sadness on earth. Joy in remembering, Sorrow in losing. Hugging and remembering you from afar: lots of music, Laughing til we cried, frolicking in the night until it was light. Praying Isaiah 46:4 over you and that you will know it even when you don't feel it . "Even to your old age and gray hairs He is the One, He is the One who will sustain you. He has made you and He will carry you; He will sustain you and He will rescue you."
Thinking of all of you who are gathering today to celebrate Greg's life and mourn his far-too-early death. I have fond memories of Greg from our Camp Hermosa days and some of the get-togethers shared outside of camp as well. The teenage Greg that I knew was a funny, thoughtful and kind boy. Considering the huge outpouring of remembrances and praise contained here (among many other forums), it is evident that that great boy turned into an even finer man. I cannot begin to imagine the pain that his family and friends are experiencing at his loss, but it is my hope that your many happy memories will sustain you. Peace be with you.
Our children currently attend Byron Northview and they will sadly miss Mr.Webb . He always would make time for his students and we are thankful our kids had the opportunity to have him for a music teacher. We will always remember what a kind man he was. Our thoughts are you and your family.
So sorry to hear of Greg's passing. I was thinking fondly of him the other day. I am thankful to have known him.
May God bless you and keep you, and comfort and strengthen you in the days ahead. I am holding you close in my prayers.
My condolences Elisabeth. My thoughts have been with with you and your family these past few weeks. I hope you continue to find support and strength in the weeks ahead.
I have known Greg for many, many years - we started together at Sherwood Forest Public School followed by Orchard Park and then Banting. He was the played "Ben" for my audition with Fred's Folk (and I think I convinced him to come to Expo with is in 1986). He is an inspiration to many people; past, present and future. He will be missed, but he will also be remembered through all of these notes! My prayers are with Liz, the girls and the rest of the family.
What an honour to be in the presence of so many people who loved and adored Greg and yourself. Liz there are not enough words to tell you how deeply sorry I am of Greg's accident and his passing. May it help in some small way to know that my thought and prayers will continue to be with you, Hannah and Sophia. I have such beautiful memories of you both caring for Lloyd and Doreen while they resided at Kensington Village. It was a pleasure to have been able to be such a small part of your family and to share in some of your joys and also some difficult times. Your faith is amazing and when some days a little tougher than others remember those are the days there are only one set of footprints and God will carry you. Love and Blessing to all.
Dear Webb family: You are in our thoughts and prayers. Sometimes words are not enough to tell what loving hearts want to say at this time of sadness. May you be comforted by loving memories of Greg ... until you meet again! We shared many wonderful times that we cherish and know he was a great blessing to many! So sorry for your loss, but know God will carry you all as you share your sorrow, but rejoice in God's eternal plan. Hugs...

The funeral was a wonderful celebration of Greg and your love - and a testimony to God's promise to uphold you! I was so glad to have the opportunity to listen to it live stream. My prayers for you will continue.
Me Webb was an awful teacher and consensus was he favoured and touched underage girls. Guy got what was coming to him, no sympathy, just a lesson in what comes around goes around glad he got was coming to him because he went out of his way to try and ruin my middle school experience ( have proof ).
Mr. Webb was my grade 8 teacher in 2004. He was always there for his students and supported them regardless of ability in band or academics. I will remember him for making the transition from Public School to High School as easy as possibly by preparing me emotionally and academically. He loved his job, as it was very clear to all his students, and will me missed and remembered by many to be one of those who truly influenced their lives.
I am so sorry to hear of Greg's passing. I went to Camp Hermosa and Liz was one of my counselors and I new Greg and his brother from there as lifeguards at the pool. That was along time ago ( not sure if you remember Liz). My thoughts and prayers are with you and your families at this time.
I graduated from byron northview in 2006 and I had the pleasure of having Mr. Webb as a teacher in grade 7 and 8 as well as music class. He was an inspiring teacher and mentor which I will never forget. He taught me to play the trumpet and to love it. I gained confidence in my self and in my music. This week was the first time in three years that I picked up my trumpet to shorfly after hear this news. Thank you Mr. Webb. My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends.

We wish your family peace during this very difficult time and joy in knowing that he's gone to a better place. May Greg's memories always make you smile and help ease your pain.
I have fond memories of working with Greg in my classroom and watching him grow as a talented and dedicated intermediate teacher. My thoughts and prayers are with Liz and the children as they come to terms with their new reality. I wish I was closer to pay my respects in person, but please know that you all are held close in my heart.
Our condolences to you and your family at this time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Mr Webb was a wonderful teacher. He had such a huge impact on the lives of his students, introducing the love of music in many of us. He motivated me to be the best saxophone player that I could and always encouraged my curiosity of learning new instruments. I will never forget his sense of humor and his creative methods of teaching. My thoughts are with his family and loved ones.
I have known Greg since childhood and our years at Banting together. We worked together at Shoppers Drug Mart at the old Westown mall and my fondest memories of Greg will always be him taking the bus home with me to make sure I got home safely. I was thrilled to have him as a music colleague and he will so missed - words cannot describe. All my prayers are with Liz, the girls, and all family members and friends during this challenging time. God bless.
Mr. Webb was my grade 8 teacher in 2005. He inspired me in so many ways and is the reason for my love of music. He was, and will always be my favourite teacher I have ever had and I will always remember him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
We are reminded of Greg's great laugh, his infectious sense of humour, his generous spirit and love for family and friends. Throughout the day we have thought back to our dinners, visits and March Break trip to Disney. We will forever remember Greg's quest to eat the "great turkey leg"....Liz, our thoughts and prayers are with you and the girls. We are sending big hugs and the deepest of love.
It's difficult to find words of comfort for Greg's family. I have such fond memories of Greg from school, choir, Fred's Folk, and especially the trip to Expo '86. It was thrilling to watch him grow into a fine music teacher, choir director, and especially a loving husband and father. Deep peace of the running wave to you...
Unfortunately, I am in Australia at the moment, but I would have loved to have been able to be with you all and share memories from Greg's life. What a sweet, unique individual he was and I more that he will be missed greatly. His family is in my thoughts and I am sending them all the love I can. Take Care.
Mr. Webb always made choir fun and interesting. It was the one place at school where I could be myself, and he was always supportive of all the singers. I will miss him a lot.
I was very saddened to hear of Greg's passing. I pray that you will all feel the love of family and friends surrounding you and holding you up at this difficult time and in the coming months of adaptation. Lean on Him and He will hold you in the palm of His hand. I have been on touch with Rob Ogilvie who asked me to pass on the assurance of his prayers to you all as well. With fond and happy memories of Greg and camp. Cathy

You will be missed. My prayers go out to his family, and loved ones that they may make it through this difficult time.
I was saddened to learn of Greg's sudden passing. You as a family have been in my thoughts and prayers. I thank God for you and your witness. Lloyd & Doreen Webb's faithfulness to their Savior has lived on in the lives of their talented and gifted children. We thank God for each one of you and for having known Lloyd and Doreen and the blessing that came from working with them. May the Lord be your help and strength at this time and in the days ahead and may He be especially near and comfort Liz and their two little girls in the days ahead.
I was shocked to hear of Greg's passing. I will always remember him as a great Sr. High youth group leader that loved to have fun, but most importantly modeled what it is to walk with God. He helped shape my faith. Liz, girls, and family of Greg, you all have my most sincere condolences, I pray that God will supply the strength that you need from here forward

Mr Webb was my grade 7 teacher at Byron Northview many, many years ago. To this day I vividly remember his infectious enthusiasm for music, and teaching his students. Mr Webb was very patient, encouraging, and a very sincere, and funny person. He was one of those teachers who really makes an impact on your life, and academic career. He was a truly great guy, and will be missed very much by all of his students from over the years. We will never be forgotten.
My son Nick is a student at Byron Northview Public School and was deeply hurt when he heard that Mr. Webb had passed away. Mr. Webb was my son's first music teacher which he adored and was always excited to go to Music Class. He left many good memories and inspirations for my son and I know that he will keep these memories very close to his heart. May you and your family find strength and courage to get through the days ahead. Wishing you peace and fond memories. Kathie and Nick Barnes

My heart goes out to you Liz, your girls and your Mom as you go through the grieving process. May the memories that you have and the ones that are shared with you by those whose lives he has touched, bring you comfort and peace. His influence and memory lives on.
I always remember this verse when looking for comfort and I hope that it brings you the same peace it always brings me. When You feel Lonely When a person you love passes away Look to the night sky on a clear day. The star that to you, appears to be bright, Will be your loved one, Looking upon you during the night. The lights of heaven are what shows through As your loved one watches all that you do. When you feel lonely for the one that you love, Look to the Heavens in the night sky above. Author unknown
