Dear Ian, Lee, and family, Reading about Gord on Facebook, here, and hearing stories of him throughout the years, helps me know that, although I never had the priviledge of meeting him, I have already met his spirit by getting to know you, Ian. I know how much you admired, respected, and loved your dad. We are saddened that you need to bare this loss, and at the same time happy that your dad filled your lives with so much gain. It sounds like he embraced life, loved his family well, and taught others how to do the same. What a rich blessing. We continue to think of, and pray for, you and your extended family. With much love, Shawna

In the garish day and in the darkest night -- I will be near you. Amidst your happiest scenes and gloomiest hours -- always, always; and if there be a soft breeze upon your cheek, it shall be my breath; or the cool air fans your throbbing temple, it shall be my spirit passing by. I hold you close with thoughts of comfort and peace and pray that you are supported during this time. Your father's spirit is with you and will remain so, but I know it's not the same as having him physically with you. Hold close your memories, and know that he loved you and loves you still. Peace.
