Passed peacefully at Parkwood Hospital on Monday, July 18th, 2011 in his 78th year. Beloved husband of Audrey for 54 years. Loving dad of Bo Murphy (Sandie), Tammy (Chris Wanschura) and Tracey (Rob Rolfe). Treasured Papi of Autumn Craig, Brooke Rolfe, Cody and Tristan Wanschura, and Crista, Lee and Gerry Murphy. Dear brother of Pat Murphy (Sharon). Much loved son of the late Harold and Irja Murphy and the late Irene and Sandy Sandercock. Also predeceased by his daughter Debbie and sister Eileen Walker. Retired from CN Rail after 37 years of devoted service. Gerry will be deeply missed by his golfing buddies, extended family and friends. A funeral service to celebrate Gerry’s life will be held at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Saturday, July 23rd, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service. Private interment of ashes at Woodland Cemetery at a later date. The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the staff at Parkwood Hospital.
