Dear Edna, Bill, Jennifer and the Valk and Colford families, We have lost a kind, gentle and good man, not to mention a gourmet chef. Jerry was one of a kind who always made a visitor feel so welcome. I enjoyed my few visits with Bill Colford and I will remember Jerry fondly. Edna, that includes you of course as you were the " wind beneath his wings". With warm memories and much love to all of you, Betty Rae

So sorry to hear about Jerry.s passing. Reading this today, brought back make great memories from many years ago when the the kids were young and played sports, when Jerry taught Nick at Fanshawe and when Mike worked with Bill. Always enjoyed running in to you at the store and hearing of your and Jerry's latest travels. He was a special person. Thinking of you all. Marv, Sandy, Ron, Matt, Nick, and Mike and families.

Edna, Bill, Jennifer and family; Please accept our heartfelt condolences in the passing of your loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother in law and uncle, Jerry. We had the pleasure of meeting this kind and unassuming gentleman at our home last summer when he and Edna visited our home in Mount Pearl, NL and we laughed and chatted and broke bread together. Edna and my husband Noel are first cousins. It was a double-edged sword as Edna's sister, Mary, was also fighting a courageous with Cancer to which sadly she latter succumbed. But it was a wonderful opportunity that we would not have had otherwise to meet Jerry and to share some insight into his life. Here not a year later he is gone from the lives of so many that love him dearly. Rest in peace, Jerry; God has called you home. Sincerely, Noel and Marilyn White
