FOX, George Maurice MM CD, Captain Retired – In his 92nd year, peacefully at Parkwood Veterans Care on April 1st, 2011. Beloved husband of Anne who predeceased him in July 2008. George was a dedicated and devoted family man who is fondly remembered by his son Ron and wife Janice, of London. Cherished grandfather of Andrew (Danielle) of Brantford, and their children Griffen, Sophie and Ainsley, and Shannon and her children Alexis and Addison. George was a member of the Royal Canadian Regiment, retiring in 1974. George proudly served Canada in WW II, the Italian Campaign with the Saskatoon Light Infantry. George re-enlisted after the war with the Royal Canadian Regiment and again answered the call in Korea. George was a life member of the RCR Association, The SLI Association, the Royal Canadian Legion, RCMI and the Korean Veterans Association. The family extend a sincere thank you to the dedicated staff of Parkwood Veterans Care, 4B West, for the exemplary care and compassion afforded to our father, grandfather and great grandfather. Visitation will be held on Monday from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where the funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, April 5th, 2011 at 3 p.m. Donations in George’s memory to the Children’s Hospital of Western Ontario would be appreciated.

We want to extend our sympathy and condolences on your dad's death. He was a fine man and proud veteran. To honour his service to our country, the Canadian flag at the WCW, Parkwood Hospital will be at half-mast all day Monday. It was so good to get to know him and you and Janice as well. God bless you as you grieve, mourn and celebrate your dad's memory.
To all of George' Family, My deepest sympathy in the loss of your loved one. George was so kind to help out in anyway with Anne when I was her HSW at the house. Dear Janice & Ron, Both Judy and I were so sorry to hear about the loss of your dad. I was so glad I met him albeit only over the past 3 years. The Mahar Family is saddened to hear of the passing of George Fox. He was a wonderful man, a fine soldier, and a dear friend of our father, Bob Mahar, Sr, who is in Parkwood across the hall from George's room on 4BW. I recently took Dad in his wheelchair over to see George and they had a good chat. We have all known George for many years, were proud to call him a friend and enjoyed seeing him out and about in London. My brothers Don, Ralph and David and I offer our most sincere condolences on the passing of this great Canadian.

Ron and Family I am sory to learn of your Dad's passing.I know the last few weeks were not easy for him.I am sure it was tough for him and you as well.Betty and I were so fortunate to have your Mom and Dad as neighbours for over thirty years.We could'nt have had better if we had had a choice.
