George was a great man who went through a terrible ordeal at Dieppe and for the rest of the war. He will be missed greatly, and a National Treasure was lost on this day. RIP George.

George and Ruby were fabulous friends to my mom and dad , Rose and Jack and good, close friends to the Penford family. They were true gems and the world was blessed with having them. They will always be in my heart. It is so hard to believe that they weren't destined to be here forever. I remember one day telling them I wanted to adopt them! True friends like diamonds are precious and rare.
