George Ernest Morris

It is with heavy hearts the family of George Ernest Morris (our G.E.M) announce the passing of their father & grandfather. Dad passed away in Western County Wing at Parkwood Hospital on Monday, February 10, 2014. Predeceased by his loved wife Winnifred May (Fenn) 2007, daughter Jeanette Yvonne McQuillan 2004, and granddaughter Melissa Ann Morris 1981. He will be dearly missed by his daughter Nancy, her husband Frank Howell-Harries and their family: Sandra Kennedy, Danielle, Zoey, Alexander & Erin Kennedy, James and William Kennedy, Dawna, Bradley, Matthew and Madison Halls, Christopher and Vicki Howell-Harries. Also survived by son Russell, his wife Irene and their family: Derrick, Tracy and Jeffrey Morris; Jeanette’s family: William and Beverly Morris, Teresa, Sara, Nicholas and Steven Morris; son Craig, his wife Judy and their family: Jay, Dylan, Melina and Bailey Morris. Special uncle to Kim Styles and family. George was a brave, quick witted and good man who will live on in the hearts and thoughts of those who loved him. George was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Victory Branch 317 for 42 years.     Visitation will be held on Thursday from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. as well as one hour prior to the funeral service being conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Friday, February 14th, 2014 at 1:00 p.m.  Rev. Darrell Shaule officiating.  Interment, Mount Pleasant Cemetery.  A Legion Service will be held under the auspices of the Victory Branch #317 on Thursday at 7:15 p.m.  Those wishing to make a donation in memory of George are asked to consider The War Amps of Canada.

My thoughts and prayers are with each and everyone of the family at this time of their loss. A wonderful loving father,father-in-law,grand and great grandfather to all of his large family. Have some wonderful memories of George at gatherings with the veterans with our Mom, Dad, and Frank Richard were I enjoyed his company very much through the years. R.I.P.George. Uncle George so many years with millions of memories that we have in our hearts. Our lives were well entwined with love, hard work and friendship to the degree we looked to you as our Uncle. The Evanski's trips down memory lane inevitably include the Morris',it was our life. Our hearts are heavy saying goodbye. We know your journey takes you to Aunt Wynn and our Mom/Dad (Dorothy/Paul) and you are finally at peace. The Evanski Family, forever in our hearts.
