George Edward ‘Ted’ Noseworthy
December 5, 1951 - September 26, 2022
Ted’s family are deeply saddened to announce that he passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospice in Sarnia on Monday, September 26, 2022, following a short illness. Beloved husband of Sandra (née Jones) and father of Laura of Quadra Island, B.C.
Predeceased by his father George Edward Noseworthy Sr. (1978), mother Janet Elizabeth (Betty) Smith (1998), stepfather Thomas Tyler Smith (2001) and brother Gary Noseworthy (1974).
Dear brother and brother-in-law of Janet and Jim Clark of London, Charlie and Carol Noseworthy of Port Stanley, David and Karen Noseworthy of Calgary, Alberta, and Carol and John Higgins of Barnsley, England.
Dearly beloved uncle of Benjamin Clark, Jessica and Jason Shody, Kara and Matt Naish and Derek Noseworthy. Cherished great uncle of Wyatt Clark, Gavin, Dylan and Cole Shody, and Marlo, Nora and Oakley Naish.
Ted will be fondly remembered by many friends, especially longtime friends Don and Betty Anne Riddell, Bill and Kathy Dingwall, Jules and Wanita Bialkowski, Al and Wendy Beharrell, and Gary and Imelda Weetman.
Upon the completion of secondary school, Ted proudly served in the Royal Canadian Air Force for four years after which he joined his father and brother Charlie in the operation of Noseworthy’s Brake and Muffler in East London. Following the death of their father in 1978, Ted and Charlie took over the business and successfully expanded and ran it until 2008.
In 2018 Ted and Sandra retired to their cottage in Port Franks and enjoyed entertaining friends and family for many happy weekends. The front porch will not be the same without Ted holding court in his corner chair. Ted also became a proficient handyman and took great pride in his well-equipped workshop, and his gourd birdhouse creations. Ted loved playing the game of pickleball, and as an enthusiastic and accomplished participant in the game of poker, he enjoyed trips to casinos with poker buddies and good friends Peter Klein and Paul Lowrey. We were always of course regaled with talks of his wins, but never the losses.
Over the years, Ted was actively involved in Kinsmen, as well as Kilwinning Lodge 64 and Moffat Lodge 399 (’84 Master), also the Mocha Shriners. Through these organizations Ted met many wonderful friends.
We will miss Ted and his many stories and reminiscences of days gone by, but he has not gone alone for we send all our love with him.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Sunday, October 2, 2022 at 4:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia or the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada.

Dear Sandra, I am so sorry for your loss. Thinking of you at this difficult time. Fondly, Jane
I’m deeply saddened to hear Ted has passed away, I worked for him and Charlie at there shop until they retired, I will always remember him for his hard work and everything he and Charlie taught me, I still have Noseworthy automotive signs hanging in my garage and think back on my days there when I look at them. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Deseronto, Ontario
We were deeply saddened to hear of Ted’s passing. Regrettably we are presently out of the country but Sandra please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and Laura.
Dear Sandra, Laura and family, we are saddened to hear about the loss of Ted. He was a sharp businessman and he and Charlie made an excellent team, building on their fathers' legacy. Doug met you both in the 70's before you were married, and it was apparent even then that you had a special and lasting bond. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in these trying times. It is a loss for all. Love Doug & Jeannie
Ted was mostly a "positive" influence in my life. A fellow Kinsmen, Mason, Shriner, classmate, roommate, travelling companion, poker buddy, cribbage opponent and cribbage partner. Everyone should have a friend like Ted. I love Ted Noseworthy.
Kara just told me of Ted’s passing. I lost my husband a few years back and it’s not an easy transition in life. I’m so sorry to hear about your family’s loss. Sending warm thoughts. Kathy

My condolences to the Noseworthy Family. I have many fond memories of growing up with the Noseworthy's on Stormont Drive in London Ontario: David, Ted, Gary, Charlie and Janet. Ted, Charlie and George worked on at least three of our family cars, including my father's car. (Fred Napasney)
