Garrett ‘Gary’ Hugh Seale
May 22, 2021
It is with the deepest of sorrow we announce that Garrett (Gary) Hugh Seale, of London, Ontario passed away in Lion’s Head Ontario, on Saturday, May 22, 2021, at the youthful age of 68.
Gary was born in Cape Town, South Africa on November 22, 1952, and immigrated to Canada, in 1974. He lived in Woodstock, Ontario for many years and eventually settled in London, Ontario, where he started his family and worked in the automotive and aviation industry.
Gary was loved by everyone who met him. He had an infectious smile and personality, and could always be found with a smile on his face. He had the greatest giggle that he used often, especially when he was doing something mischievous. His love of anything automotive was only surpassed by his true love – his family. Shanon, Devin, and Maeson were the foundation of who he was as a person.
Beloved husband of his loving wife, Shanon. Cherished father of Devin and Maeson. Dear son of Maureen Rooza and the late Patrick Rooza. Sadly missed by his siblings: Markham Rooza (Laura), Eustacia Young (David), Patricia Kalezic (Sasha), Graham Rooza (Anastazia); his parents-in-law: Judith Coyle (Brent), and Murray Dietz (Marion); brother-in-law, Ryan Coyle (Mona); and by his many nieces and nephews: Austen, Devon, Darren, Alexander, Jackson, Colton, Dariya, Kayden, Kalli; and great-niece, Quinn.

Our heartfelt sympathy to Maureen and all the family. Our hearts are saddened by your loss and our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
I had the honor of working with Gary for just over 5 years. From day one I knew I was in the right place. One of the first things Gary ever taught me was that I was sitting in the desk where the previous guy fell asleep on the job constantly, and all I needed for success was to not do that. That was simply Gary. Gary's sense of humor and his laugh were infectious and made every day for everyone around him that much better. Gary was not only an amazing friend to me but also a first-class mentor. Knowing I was constantly worried about getting things right, he was a calming presence that enabled me to excel every day. In and out of the office, he always had great stories - be it about family, past work or just general anecdotes. I always looked up to Gary and still draw on the many lessons I learned from him. The one thing that stood out to me more than anything was Gary's infinite pride, adoration and love for his family. To Shannon, Maeson and Devin, know that Gary considered you to be his greatest accomplishments and he took every opportunity to let us all know that. It will be a very long time, if ever, I meet someone along my path that shines as bright as Gary Seale did. I will always miss him but will never forget him.
Our deepest condolences to the entire family on the sudden and sad passing of Gary. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Being around him as he was growing up we always recognized his positive outlook on any circumstance and his strong willingness to help others. He will be sadly missed by all those who knew him.

I will always remember Gary's smile and positive attitude to everything he did. I only had the privilege to know and work with Gary for a little less than three years , he was always willing to teach and mentor me with anything I would ask of him. I hope he is in his happy place now and I sincerely hope his family will take all his positive energy and move forward in due time.

I was saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Gary. My sympathies to the Seale family during this time of deep sorrow. I dealt with Gary for many years through his job, as one of the many Winair clients that he taught and worked with. I was shocked to hear of passing. Gary always had a positive attitude, and worked hard to find an answer for any of our program issues. May God bless and comfort you all during this time of grief. Please accept my sincere condolences.
My sincere condolences to Gary's family and those who had the pleasure of knowing him. Gary was a shining light in the office-always full of smiles, jokes, and stories. I will always appreciate his positivity and willingness to go above and beyond to help me and all those around him. It was obvious that his true passion was his family, and I enjoyed hearing his many stories about Maeson's riding, Devin's culinary talents, and the laughs he shared with Shannon. He will be missed by many. Sending my thoughts and prayers of comfort during this time of grief.
So very sorry to hear of Gary's passing. Although we have not seen him for years I remember him with fondness. My best to Maureen and family and Gary's wife and children. From all of us, Gerry, Claudia, Kimberley and Gregory.

Our most sincere condolences to all the family. It was with deep regret and sadness when we heard of Gary's passing. I have known Maureen and Pat for more than 40 years and considered them the best of friends. I was involved in motor car rallying in Cape Town and met Gary when he was a teenager. Gary was very interested in rallying, but he was mostly behind the scenes working our rally cars. I considered Gary to be a perfect gentleman, smiling and courteous and loved by everyone who knew him. Beth and my hearts go out to Maureen our dear friend. There is no greater hurt than to lose a child. Dennis & Beth.
I extend my deepest sympathies to your family. Maeson, je pense à toi en ces temps difficiles. Aucun mot ne peut décrire à quel point je suis désolée pour ta perte.

I am sending my deepest condolences to Gary's family. I work with Pal Airlines in St John's and through our computer software (Win air) I had the pleasure of being trained and taught by Gary. Our sincere condolences to Maureen, Shannon and Families. Very sad at Gary's passing, but enriched by having known and proud of having him as family, as he always called me "Uncle Claude". Gary was Genuine, Sincere, Down to Earth, Unpretentious and had a Heart of Gold. What memory stays with me was in 1975, as a new arrival in Canada, Gary took off work, came all the way from Woodstock to Toronto, supplied his car and assisted me in obtaining my Drivers Licence, just one of Gary's ways of getting me started in my new country. Always thinking with good intentions. Rest In Peace Gary.
On behalf of the staff of Gabriel-Dumont, I wish you comfort during this difficult time. Our deepest sympathies go to you and your family. Maeson, toutes nos pensées vont vers ta famille et nous vous présentons nos plus sincéres condoléances. Nous sommes de tout cÅ“ur à tes côtés.

He was always there to answer a question, share a tidbit of knowledge and help out where he could. Hold your warm memories close and know he's smiling down on all of us. Rest in peace Gary.
We are so deeply saddened over the loss of Gary, and we send our deepest condolences to all of you. Gary always had an easy-going personality, and people enjoyed being around him. His jokes and infectious smile were magnetic. He was certainly a great husband and father, and he brought so much love and joy to his family and friends. We are so proud to have had him in our lives, and we will always have fond memories of him. He left an imprint on so many hearts.
I join my colleagues in expressing my shock, and my sincerest sympathies to Gary's friends and family - he was a prince among men and will not be forgotten. Although we never worked out of the same office, we did several 'road-trips' together for work, and he was a pleasure to spend time with. His impish chuckle was always near the surface and he was ready to find the fun in any situation. He spoke fondly and often of his family and I'm sure this final trip he is making will leave a big hole in many lives. Too soon Gary, but thank you for the good times and may your energy and spirit live on.
I knew and worked with Gary for more than 7 years, and he was always a charming, funny presence in the office. Never short of a comeback and always did his best to make everyone feel included. The world is a poorer place without him. My most sincere sympathies go out to his family.
My sincere condolences to Gary's family. I worked with Gary and he was always happy to help, offer advice, and joke around. He will be greatly missed!
We are shocked and saddened by the passing of Gary. No matter the day or time, Gary would always find something to laugh or joke about, making him a pleasure to work with. Fridays and Hawaiian shirts may never be the same. Our hearts are with his family, close friends, and all who knew him. Sending you strength at this difficult time.
To our dear friends, the Dietz family, from the family and teacher you met at Dance Extreme and then continued with, in friendship, at École Marie-Curie. Gary, your husband and father, has an amazing, loveable soul, a kind, welcoming heart. His high jinks, jokes and energy made us all smile, especially his African 'brother', Jules. Gary's deep love for Maeson, Devin, and of course, his wife Shanon, is evident in all the activities, adventures and projects he undertook. We send you love and friendship as you and your families live these heart-wrenching moments. Toute notre amitié, nos coeurs sont avec vous tous. Vos amis, Jules, Joaquim, Kélyalynn, Merryck, Sareenah-Rose and Elizabeth.
I remember fondly, the first time Shanon brought Gary to a Dietz family gathering, she made me promise to be on my best behaviour and to be nice to Gary as he was a keeper! It became very apparent Gary made Shanon very happy and they were meant to be together. It was particularly nice to watch Gary's easy way with the kids, he was a great father. The Dietz family gatherings won't be the same without Gary's calm, smiling presence, but, he will remain in our hearts.
Ken and I send our deepest condolences to you, Shanon, Maeson and Devon. Gary was a wonderful addition to our family. We admired his commitment as a husband and a father. He seemed to be able to find fun in whatever he was doing. We will miss him at family gatherings. Anne Westhues
I am heartbroken to hear of Gary's passing. I worked with Gary for almost 4 years. There was never a dull moment with Gary and his constant smile and jokes. He was a great mentor and a wealth of knowledge that I could always count on. I will miss inviting myself to his desk everyday to bug him with yet again another question or scenario. His great attitude and perspective on things was refreshing. He will be missed dearly by so many people. Gary I know you're up there smiling down on all of us. Rest in peace dear friend. My prayers and sincere condolences are with Gary's family.
