Suddenly passed away at LHSC – University Hospital, on Thursday, August 18, 2022, in London, at the age of 62. Freddie had an ever-present drive to experience all the excitement life had to offer. A beaming smile and larger than life personality complimented his continuous curiosity about people, and the countless individuals he connected with in his life are a testament to his ability to strike up conversation anywhere and anytime. As a father, sibling, and friend, he made sure to always make the effort to be present in the lives of those close to him, for more than anything, it was those close to him that fueled his passion for life. He will be missed, and his legacy will live on in the many lives of those he touched.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Interment will be in McDonald Memorial Cemetery, Port Lambton.

Hi Fred ,today Sept 15th we laid your ashes to rest on top of dad. It was a sad day, I will miss you brother. We had many great talks every week, and solved most of the world problems in a hour or so. It was also a uplifting day in so many ways - many kind words about you Fred - your smile, your kindness and thoughtfulness, your love for your children and family, your positive outlook on life. I am so thankful Fred that you knew Jesus as your Lord and Savior. One day we will be together again for all of eternity. Will miss you Fred. Thanks for all the great times we had together, Daytona Feb 18,2001 will always be remembered. Love you brother.
We recently received word of Fred’s (Freddy) sudden passing. Freddy was introduced to us by David Wood close to 30 years ago and was memorable from the very beginning when he passed through Kaslo, BC. A bigger than life character with a brilliant smile and a forever stylish moustache. Still to this day I find myself using one of Fred’s favourite sayings “show me the Do-Ray-Me”. He was warm, magnetic, optimistic and Loving. We are sorry for his loss but happy he brought a smile to so many! Our sincerest Condolences Mark and Francine Walker Kelowna, BC
Oh Fred, You were always such a warm, caring and sincere friend. I loved your big personality and amazing smile and laughter. It is so sad you had to leave so soon. Rest in Peace With love, Pam
You were my closest friend for over 35 years. My big brother. We certainly lived like little rascals in a paradise. Our Gypsy lives was great for story times and we had a many of those. Lol. I was always blown away by your hard work ethic and having you over at my place last year for over a month was great as we rekindled our deep discussions about life. Oh man you cooked some amazing dishes! Good food was something we cherished together. From those Chicago, San Bernardino, Kentucky, Florida, practically every city in Canada restaurants we lived and ate the good life didn’t we. When we chatted about life, you’re conversations had so much to do about the love for your kids. That’s where your thoughts and conversations were most of the time. Always about them. You may be gone in physical form but not spiritually. I live with you every day in sacred memories.
My condolences to the family, I will remember Fred with great fondness, he was always so much fun when he was around when I was a child. When my own father passed away, Fred was there for support. His smile and laugh will be greatly missed. A kind hearted man. Rest in peace.
Our condolences to all of Fred's family, thinking of you at this sad time. We are so thankful that Fred came into our lives. Ryan and Marissa, I’m so sorry for the loss of your father, He had strong convictions and stood by them passionately for the love of his family and all that was important in his life. He was a team player, hard working , and competitive all while having fun. If Freddie was on your team it was going to be a good day no matter how the day unfolded. He was one of the best. I miss you my dear friend. May you rest in peace in Heaven!
Fred I will remember those phone calls when you took me walking with you. I would joke that I hoped I was getting the benefits of your physical exertion. You will be missed on those walking trails. Even with the stress you were dealing with in your life you always strived to have a positive outlook + extended that to others. God called You home + I am happy for you that you are at peace. My baby brother you will be greatly missed. I will Love You Always with fond memories.
Hard to believe your name will never come up on my phone again. You gained your wings way too soon. Thank you for all the conversations over the past two years. It was comforting to converse with someone like minded about all the craziness going on in the world as well as reminiscing and laughing about the good old days. I will miss those talks. Until we meet again cousin, RIP ❤
