Passed peacefully at Victoria Hospital on Wednesday, April 11th, 2012, Ronald Yeo of London in his 80th year. Beloved husband and best friend of Dorothy (nee Wilker) Yeo in their 61st year of marriage. Loving father of Doug (Gayle), Ken (Kathy), Gary (Dawn) and Patricia (Ken) Leslie. Dearly loved grandfather of Laurie (Dana) Yeo-Schmidt, Jeff (Carmen) Yeo, Justin Yeo, Jamie Yeo, Michael (Karen) Yeo, Karry (Peter) Tischler, Chris (Shelby) Yeo, Jason (Alison) Yeo, Shawn (Brittany) Yeo, Travis (Courtney) Yeo, Craig Leslie, Kyle Leslie and Jessica Leslie. Proud great-grandfather of Cameron, Jenna, Patty, Ella, Quinn, Kody, Alana, Vivian, Emerson and Britton. Also fondly remembered by his sister Darlene (Jim) Walter. Predeceased by his brothers Len, Mel, John and his sister Florence. Ron retired as a stationary engineer from Labatt’s Brewery in 1997. He loved tinkering in his shop, traveling in his RV with his best girl and spending time with his family. The family would like to thank the wonderful nursing staff on the 6th and 7th floor of Victoria Hospital for all their kindness and support and especially Dr. Sexton and Dr. Dunkerly for their compassionate care. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 14th, 2012 from 9:00-10:30 a.m. at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where the memorial service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Private family inurnment at Woodland Cemetery.  Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Ron are asked to consider the Canadian Cancer Society or the Palliative Care Unit at Victoria Hospital.

Very shocked to hear the sad news of Union Brother Ron Yeo passing away April 11, 2012. Our most sincere condolences to Dorothy Yeo and her family. I first met Ron Yeo and his Family in Plattsville ON. while being employees of Canada Sand Papers back in 1967. 1968 Ron helped me get my first job at Kelvinator of Canada in London, ON. In 1976 Ron assisted me getting a Third Class Operating Engineer job at Labatts Brewery in London, ON. We had many great years working & celebrating together.
