Fergus ‘Fergie’ Roy Ferguson
October 31, 2015
Passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 31st, 2015 with loving family by his side. Fergie was the son of Daniel and Lillian Ferguson and was born on January 11, 1933 in North Sydney, Nova Scotia. The youngest of six children (Jean, Lillian, Howard, David and Daniel), Fergie moved to Hamilton, Ontario when he was 15 where he met the love of his life, Beverly Boules. They were married on July 3, 1954. Fergie was a long-time employee of the Tuckett Tobacco Company and Imperial Tobacco. Ferg will be greatly missed by his wife of 61 years, Beverly, and by his daughters and their husbands: Judi and Rob Irvine and Beth and Randy Vegso. He was the most amazing Poppa ever to Matthew and Sarah, Bryan and Jessica, Alexandra, Christy and Jeremy, Reed and Jessica, Hilary and Fiona and Timo, and a special great Poppa to Zachary, Lucas and Sophia. We’ll miss the candy, silly jokes and funny songs more than you can ever know! Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where the funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, November 5th, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society or to Crohn’s and Colitis Canada would be greatly appreciated.
